Hey guys! Happy new year, I couldn’t think of a better way to say “thank you” for your support than posting this action-packed episode! We have NEW MERCH available (see “store” tab on my channel page or find products below the video). These ship internationally and there are some great designs ready to order🤘🏻See you in 2024😎
Matt have you ever tried or thought about trying a .243 Winchester for long range shooting. Not a lot of people know a .243 has won more long range matches than .308 and 6.5
I could NOT tell you how much I wanna be there, at your place The country is absurdly gorgeous, your job is the most perfect to me and in that 4x4 there is the guns, the girl, the tent, the kitchen ... 😥 And moreover, she's a shooter ! And what a smile ... 👍👍👍
Welcome back !!!! Great to see you back out into the fields and hills - and Nicolle out with you... What a doll - you're a lucky guy to have found a beauty like her who loves shooting and camping as well...
Incredible, episode 44. You’ve almost spent a year at the ox wagon! My favorite shooting-hunting series in any platform. I send all my family and friends to your videos here in the USA. Thank you!
New Year greetings from Canada, where it happens to be snowing lightly. One thing about rain is you normally don't have to shovel it, grin. Wishing you both a healthy and happy New Year.
Happy New Year! It has been a while since I have seen your face on this channel, but I see that you have lost weight. I look forward to watching this channel again this year from Japan.
Great video - love the combination of the hunting and the camping! Happy New Year from the other side of the globe - Las Vegas. A few hours to New Year over here and the crowds are starting to gather on The Strip. I'm *not* joining them, too many people!!
Another great video! Some nice shots there, especially with the air rifle 😎 happy new year and hope to catch up with you guys at the British shooting show! 😉
It must be really cold out there. The males have got blue balls! That range to the baboon - when you said 100 to the middle and 200 to the edge, I said 200& 400 to myself before you said what it was.
To help the locals get rid of poverty, maybe can invite someone to perform a vervet mukbang like, eating 5 monkeys or 5kg of vervet sashimi something like that. 😂
Aways great videos. I noticed you were using a first focal plane Nexus, do you prefer that to the second focal plane? I have always used a second focal plane but I like the way that works. Most of my shots are 25-50 yards and video at 120 fps then slow to 6 fps for my final trimmed video. Thanks again for the great videos and that your wife can share your adventures with you. Looking at a Element Optics Helix 6-24x50 FFP, APR-2D MRAD Reticle, 30mm Tube at the moment. Keep up the good work.
Greetings man, I learned a trick with the egyptian geese. I do a quick field dress, ie just gut it and into the bag, then at home, feahers and all, I wash it out with fresh water then immerse the bird in clean fresh water and freeze it for a month or so. When I defrost it later, the feathers come right off, no problem and I prepare it further for the braai. Salted lightly, into tin foil and bury it the coals for an hour, take it out and roast off the skin and what little fat there is, and let me tell you, tender as chicken, full of flavour.
Hey there, been watching for years now.. have a question (that may have been answered in the past) but I just got my first 22-250 and I'm curious what rate of twist is your barrel and what weight bullets are you shooting/ does it prefer? If Matt doesn't answer maybe other shooters could weight in? My Savage Axis predator has a 1:12 twist rate..
For varminting 1:12 is fine up to about 55 grs depending on the bullet. For a 1:14 the best you're likely to get is the 52 sierra bthp. If you run a 1:9 you lose the bottom end, like 40s that might blow up mid flight, but you can run heavier than 77s and turn it into a great long range rifle. Little bullets going too fast don't seem to be as accurate, 50s seem to shoot better from what I've seen. Much better at longer range for sure.
@AirArmsHuntingSA hello I will be purchasing a panthera here in the next few weeks but I’m having a hard time deciding between 22cal or 30cal will be used for mostly long range plinking 150+ yards I know 22cal 40gr gen2 javelins have a pretty high bc but do they outperform the 30cal slugs? Regards

I’m curious is it as hard in South Africa to get a suppressor as it is in the USA
Man Did you pick up a hot shell straight out of the air, it must have hurt!!!!
@@tomeickhorst6787No, suppressors are not restricted here. You can just buy them over the shelf or order them online with no paperwork.
@@TheRoleMan2023They don’t really get that hot, I think the chamber around it quickly absorbs the heat.

Makes me wonder how many missed shots didn’t make it into the video.
Happy new year. Matt you need to get yourself a FX King just bought one amazing rifle
I like that you use silencers.

What about a kill and cook or do you always buy your meat fom the grocery shop?

Are semi-auto rifles illegal?
Happy new year
Matt What caliber is the airsoft gun you use in your video?
It's not Airsoft. It's a PCP air rifle. .22 cal I think.
