Cheap upgrade as i moved them over from my old S1000R. They look nice, but are about as useful for visibility as the stock mirrors. The only real advantage is on the rare occasion i need to fold them when filtering.
@@joeRepublic85 I GOT MY 2021 S1000R Sport 5 days ago and have found the position of the stock mirrors to be much better than the stock mirrors I had on my 2019 CB1000R. Through a combination of the seating position on the S10000R being slightly more forward than on the CB1000R and the lower height of the stock mirrors on the S1000R means that I catch sight of my elbows rather then my shoulders which results in more useable space of the mirrors. Also the stock mirrors on the S1000R are vibration free so I have clear vision at all speeds 0-70mph thus far as I run the engine in.
Like those mirrors too. Looks surprisingly a lot better for a minor difference. Tried different bar end mirrors they all suck. This seems like the best way to go.
How do you rate the quality of the black widow headers? Perfect fit? Issues? Also did you get it remapped and have the errors due to valves removed? Thanks
Hi, Black Widow Headers are great. I had a set for the 2017 S1KR and now again for the 21 Model. Both times they were a perfect fit. No complaints at all. In fact i found the installation a lot easier on the 21 Model. Not sure if the re-map is really necessary, as i've been riding it for a few months now unmapped, and it's fine (a little lumpy in the very low rev range on a cold start. Once warmed up, it's fine). I have it booked for a remap on the 15th November (Steve Jordan), however, due to the warranty. No faults at all as you can just remove the cables from the Exhaust flap servo motor and then plug it back in. If you want to remove the servo altogether, you will need a servo-buddy from eBay.
I had the opportunity to test exactly this model. the sound is a real disappointment. Your modification is exactly what I would do. did you measure the dBA at 5500 rpm. i'm really interested in what the sound level is due to volume measurements by the police in my country.
I'm afraid i don't have a dB meter. I could use an iPhone app, but doubt that would be much use for yo. Furthermore, I will say that from a cold start it is far, far louder in this video due to the bike sitting at high revs until the bike has warmed up.
*In* *the* *UK* , if you have a warranty issue that BMW can directly link back to you replacing the headers (for example you do not correctly fit the headers, and you melt your radiator and/or other parts at the front of the bike) then your warranty is void for _that_ repair. However, if you install it correctly and have it tuned for the new exhaust, then there should be no warranty issues. Eg - If your Wheel bearing collapses or your instrument cluster stops working, then BMW cannot void your warranty because you changed the exhaust. Your best bet is to talk to your dealer. Mine was coy about it, saying it was at my risk. However, speaking to the mechanics, it's unlikely they will so long as it isn't an issue directly linked to you replacing the exhaust. I hope that makes sense, although i *must* *stress* that this is my opinion only, and *is* *not* expert advice.
Sounds so good
Loved it 😍
Sounds great! How do you like those mirrors?

Hello Friend. I get a doubt out of this bike's Quick shift, it has a louder noise than the previous model. you saw deference!!
It's a smooth as the old model in terms of how it shifts up and down. The stock exhaust is certainly quieter in all riding modes except dynamic pro.

where u made this rego plate? is it legal size? looks great

Definitely not legal. Never had an issue, however.
Good job 😍❤️
Did you find any loss of low down grunt without the remapping or anything else?
Yes, slight but most noticeably when the engine was started from cold. Once up to temp it was fine. ECU learns and adjusts.
What mirrors are those ? Elise’s ?
Correct
@@joeRepublic85 I can’t find them to save my life, not new anyway… I love the amber glass
@@radiocrash yeh, shame that. They do the “Genesi” range which is almost identical minus the amber glass.

Hey man! Is there a significant change noise wise? I want to do that exact mod as stock exhaust is too quiet.
Yes! It's insanely loud. I cannot start the bike in enclosed car parks without setting off an alarm in another car.
It's really, really loud.
🤝👍✍
Have you removed the baffle?
There is no baffle. It's an optional extra from BMW that you have to purchase separately. I never had one.
How do the headers effect warranty ?
