BMW M1000R Road Rage | Cut Off by Van Driver
Blackwall Tunnel, Southbound approach. I did notice the van driver pull away quite sharply, so held back while rounding the bend. I also noticed he was slightly over the line initially, so held back again. Once i saw him move back to the left, I began making progress to pass in my lane.
In hindsight, I was aware of the moped in front of him when we were stationary, so should have predicted he would make the move go around.

First of a series of videos documenting our recent tour of western France. From this point onwards, however, it's all country roads and scenic views. A couple of things to note: Remote Key battery died within...

Didn't notice my indicator at the time, but that was caused by me when getting of the bike. Easy repair. I'm a little embarrassed by my initial reaction, but things soon calmed down before eventually become a "Mate" off with the driver of the Dacia. Key lesson: Always assume you haven't been seen. Cars are rock hard, and heavy! If the peg had given way fully, my foot would have been crushed!

Im actually looking to replace the sc project can on mine with either an akrapovic or standard can. It currently has black widow or delkevic headers. Unsure. Do you thibk the diameter is the same for all these manifold pipes? The sc looks cool bit its ridiculously loud. About as much baffling as a coke can😂
@@TheeMisterspain Yeh the muffler diameter will be the same across all brands, so any should fit! I k ow what you mean, even with the stock akra can, mine felt too loud, I can only imagine what it’s like with a the SC!! 🤣
Cheers for the reply mate. Oh it's loud alright. I can get a standard can for quite cheap so I was hoping to throw that on and make it livable day to day lol

Let me clear a few things up, as i've had a few messages from angry car drivers, mainly US based, who fail to recognise the road markings at the very beginning of this clip. Yes, kicking a mirror is bad. Don't do it. However, using your two-tonne, motor propelled metal box-on-wheels to push a vulnerable road user to one side because you can't follow traffic signs properly is evil and spiteful. Let's be clear here, this driver decided he was going through whether he hit me or not. I had to take the avoiding action to avoid injury. Now, had the driver shown at least some remorse (or even just ignored me) I'd have just continued on. The finger was the final straw - he's lucky I had a call I was busy with or'd have taken that thing clean off as opposed to the very light tap it took from boot. Ride safe.
I swear, the moment a biker puts a camera on their helmet they magically turn into a massive twat. I mean, imagine thinking you're in the right when you get cut off and then respond to that by weaving all over the road, driving on the chevrons, kicking the fucking car, etc. That was far worse than the idiot who cut you off. You need to grow up, mate. PS I'm laughing at the all the money you're losing just agreeing to let people use your clip. Classic! 🤣
Ok, you're clearly upset, and I appreciate I can't please everyone, but let me address a couple of your points. Firstly, I don't make any money from RUclips; I just don't get the views required, or the engagement for monetisation, and rightly so - so i'm not entirely sure why you are laughing. A bit weird, actually. Secondly, the driver, in this instance, made a spiteful manoeuvre to essentially smash me out of the way if I didn't move. In the build up my lane discipline is good, i follow the road markings and i am well within the speed limit. It was completely unacceptable driving, and he had ample space to back off knowing i was there. I can only guess that you drive in this fashion, too - in which case, shame on you. Thirdly, filtering, including on chevrons, is legal in the UK. Kicking a mirror, obviously, is not. Regretfully, it was a mere tap, with the outside of my boot. If i wasn't on an important call, such was the egregious manoeuvre from the driver, i'd have taken that wing mirror clean off. My advice to you: try not to get so emotional over a RUclips clip - I've shared it for your entertainment. Lastly, thank you for your engagement.
You drive like a dick

@@RespecttheTraffic Sure. Go ahead. Happened in Sidcup, London. Guy cut me up without warning, and then proceeded to give me the finger… so I gave him the boot.
Have you removed the baffle?
There is no baffle. It's an optional extra from BMW that you have to purchase separately. I never had one.
So its just plug out and plug the buddy in? Nothing to do with the cabels?
Sorry for the late response. Correct. Servo and cables can stay in situ.

Can I leave the cables and everything there and just connect the servo buddy ? Valve is open on idle and close once you accelerate to reduce sound so no need I guess to disconnect anything. Just plug in the bypass buddy on the connector and leave everything on the bike? Am I missing anything ? Thanks 😊
You can indeed, however just know that the servo will still “actuate” the cables when loose, so they may scratch around near the swing arm/exhaust. They’re relatively simple to remove (along with the servo).
@@joeRepublic85 the valve is actuated by the motor.Once the servo buddy is connected to the socket no voltage goes to the actuator anymore and it goes just in the buddy socket .I personally decided to just disconnect the metal cables and don’t connect the servo buddy. I don’t know , I trust more the factory motor rather than connect a foreign electronic monkey to the bike electric wiring.not a big sound difference but yeah sounds definitely better with this valve on open 😀
@@LoveBikesDorel Of course, makes perfect sense.

you were riding over the speed limit at first, and still came in a bit fast in that village. Although he cut you off, your reaction was unnecessary, at least this guy cleans the road after making a mess. (I am not saying that spitting on people is ok, but if you didn't do the hand gesture and just went a little more chill about it, none of this would have happened)
If he did cut me off, this wouldn’t have happened. We both have responsibility here, but let’s be clear, he pulled out unnecessarily to clear up his own mess.
