Wow not sure what the car looked like before but Doug said it was a mess he sure is 1 hell of a body man car is straight as an arrow nice a crisp lines awesome job Doug.
Chad, I'm just a hobbiest painter and I haven't done anything for a while but its been my experience that anytime that you have red or brown paint as the origional color you should spray a coat of sealer before you paint the top coat. It doesn't have to be sanded, you just let it dry to the touch, tack it off and spray the top coat or the red will bleed through. Just one old man's opinion. God bless and have a wonderful day. 👍👍🙂

@@CliffordUusma I never understood why he says he always paints "high pressure" when product data sheets produced by the manufacturers give you all of the information for the correct application of their products. Usually about 45 to 50 psi on the paints I use.
This was not your best video, but it was one of my all-time favorites. I was really pleased to see you help Doug in his project as he is such a likable character.

A primer sealer solves those wrinkle or solvent swelling issues. I know it adds expense, especially if you do the entire car but I've used it on just the problem area only and it works good.

I thought at first Doug No, don't paint it green, but I have to admit it looks beautiful, the color suites the car perfectly, I think Doug is gonna love the car even more, once he get to drive it with all her new makeup on.

Beautiful deep- water blue on Dougs' car. Perfect color for a small sporty car. Had a 64 deep water blue Pontiac Lemans. Beautiful car but absolutely no compression. Went really fast downhill. LOL Anyway, love the color. Really nice that it was used on this car. All you guys have a great Victoria Day weekend. Memorial Day here in the US. Best Wishes J VanDeMark

I watch your channel regularly and am amazed at what you build. Small tip from my side, you can replace the filters of your spray mask. With new filters you breathe easier and it retains more vapor. Better for your health so that we can enjoy you for a long time to come. good luck with the projects to come.

I have painted several car with that type of paint. I had no problem. I put the first two coats dry and the last wet. Turn out good. Good luck!

I had British Racing green Imron on a 73 Grand Prix SJ with green interior, green landau top. It looked like money. 455 positrac. Miss that car.

What year model is that 300Z? I would love to have one anywhere from 1978 all the way to 1989. I mean a 280 up until 83 and the 300 after that!
