@@-0909 I agree with you. I had a 50cc engine motorbike around 1987, and I built it to look a "dirt-bike" with using accessories what anybody could buy in shops. And then in a winter I built it to look like a racing-bike, and only the headlight spoiler was made by a shop, and I made the rest by myself from trashed alu-sheet. It wasn't perfect because the lack of money, and tools, etc but some friends, guys remembered on it even even decades later, some even asked what happened with it, they even named it like it was a special. And when I mentioned them it was dirt bike too once, then they didn't care that.. And I honestly like perfect, I like this shop and the guy is lucky to make perfect, but as they say "a design is done when the designer says it's ready", otherwise is just wasting time and money.

I have seen that machine in action somewhere. That machine is a gamechanger for high dollar builds. Their knowledge is quite rare today from my perspective. It only took them over 20 years of hard work, not an overnight company. If I understand they had 19000 hours on that one car in aluminum. If the shop rate is $100 an hour that would be $1,900.000. All I can think is fantastic job. Thank you for taking us on this tour. Great job.

To me, this was an amazing exposé on how creativity buts heads with conformity. People who feel the need to conform (do it right, or as expected) always create hotrods that look similar to each other. Their own inner conforming dogma limits them from breaking the rules or acting truly freely. Chad understands this and tries to treat them fairly but they will not respect his views because it threatens their sense of inner value. To them he is just "wrong". Still somehow, they see what he does, how obviously different it is, and secretly wish they could be so unrestrained and creative.
(Hats off to the owner for giving Chad a guided tour when there's obviously big money clients to entertain.)
And yes, this is the future of metal shaping. Suddenly unobtainable parts can be manufactured at affordable cost, and eventually those costs will drop as more makers appear.
Thank for the tour Chad! VERY entertaining!
