Im in love with pens and want new ones for the school year im stuck between these and the pentel ones, im left handed and hate smearing i wanted to know if these bic gel ones smear with highlights!!! Thats my last test that i want to know is if they smear with highlights! :)
When I saw these I was like "WHOA" ... so I bought the big pack because it was reasonably priced and the variety of colors. Needless to say I love them! Goodbye Inkjoy , Hello Gelocity!
I just got an 8 pack of the original Bic Gelocity's from Wal-Mart for 1.50. They are nice. I'm left handed so not really a gel fan but these have changed my mind. The colors are really bright (like the ones you tried) and seem to be just a tiny bit more smeary than the quick dry ones. Overall, I'm pretty excited to use them.

I’ve tried the old version and let me tell you they are really leaky and smudgy as a left-handed person I could say as much as I loved how smooth it was it was really annoying because it would take at least a minute to dry which is why I’m looking forward to investing in these new models
OHMYGOSH. I've been needing a new pen to cure the smear and cracking problem I've had lately with my G2 .7. (Which I loved for so long but lately they've felt like shit quality) I'm going to pop into Walmart and grab some!
I was at walmart and got the original in an 8 pack and bonus 8 plus 2 pack. They were on clearance for $1.50 so i grabbed everything they had. I'm going to use them to hand out with xmas cards instead of candy canes this year, cause who doesn't need a pen? I kept a pack for me and the colors are Beautiful!
Cindy: Since you wrote with these several months ago - how do the colors hold up? Are the colors still bright and like the original, or have they faded any? Sometimes my purple pens will fade to more blue or red. TiA!
I love the body of the black, with the gray sort of tone, but I hate the body of the dark blue. Sucks because I ONLY write in blue. I don't notice them smearing, and I've been using the blue a lot even though it's fugly.

I like the New Gelocity but didn't like the old ones at all... Almost like a cross between a ballpoint and a gel and very smeary.
