Dude, you're a serial killer with this stuff. The way you blend form and function is so great, and the way your videos are edited really shows us how you get from point A to B design-wise. Thanks for sharing your process with us.
After watching the video advert i was still skeptical. But when i finally downloaded the plans ruclips.net/user/postUgkxZF0EMnrujZvqHhGkxiz559uIABJWR9TG i was very impressed. The whole plan was just as you said in the video. Thank you very much. I now have a large and valuable collection for my woodworks. This is great!
I try not to look ahead or pay a lot of attention to thumbnail intros so there is some, “suspense” to, “the show”. This had me totally confused until I saw the finished product. Absolutely amazing workmanship and very well thought out. Thank you for sharing!
Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing. I LOVE this! Super cool design and I dig all the complex individual pieces that come together as a very elegant whole. 👍🏻
What a masterpiece anyone would be proud to have that in their drawers. Wish we could buy them. Yes i know it defeats the object but this is true craftsmanship. Love it thank you for sharing.❤
I have watched a number of times and I will be watching a number of times again. Thank you very much for the video. I’ll be off to the shop to try and duplicate this. Love the idea
Hello there. good idea. Nice workmanship. I did the same last year. And I'm still using it. congratulations. You're doing a good job. Thank you for sharing............
A lot of wood workers are very passionate about their craft. Just as musicians are passionate about the music they write and play. Everyones got their own thing that they're passionate about.
Awesome! i need this coz the regular cutlery organisers will eventually jumble up everything overtime. Waste a lot of time picking up the right cutlery especially the tea spoons. This is pretty neat and doesn't mix up. Hope he could add in slots for pairs of chopsticks and fruits picks as well.
Great video! Couple things though, if you use a flat top blade in your table saw, you won't have that bird mouth pattern happening at the ends of your cuts, making it so that you don't need to gap fill your box joints. Also, it's way cheaper to simply buy bamboo panels from a timber dealer than three random cutting boards from Ikea...
I've never been so confused as to what was being built in my life. Everythings seems unnecesarily overcomplicated. However.. I loved it. I felt like a beginner woodworker again, seeing how to build for the first time. Well Done.
Step 1. Buy two cutting boards and glue them together. Step 2. Run them through a planer to reduce the size by half. I am no expert but there seemed to be a lot of wasted material in this project.
The only way to save that wood would have been a bandsaw or a handsaw, and I'd be surprised if his bandsaw could resaw that much height. No offense to the maker, but it didn't look like he uses hand tools that much, so I doubt he felt comfortable ripping that with a handsaw. That being said, I do agree that it made me cringe. Granted, those cutting boards are only $10 each, but I have a serious aversion to wasting wood.
@Neil Peters While it's true that bamboo is technically a grass, it's still considered wood when laminated together like this. Pine is in no way more durable than bamboo. Bamboo has a Janka hardness of around 7000 newtons, most pines are around 2000 newtons. Pine is not cheaper either. Regardless of either of those fallacious claims, nobody was talking about using different materials. The discussion was around how much of the material he wasted. There was a suggestion that he should have simply "ripped" it, and my point is, there's no way to do that other than the two methods I mentioned, and the reasons why I think he didn't. So, I have no idea what you're on about...
Wife: "But how much butter do we use? We didn't ACTUALLY need eight butter knives, now did we?? And then when our friends came over it, was embarassing how we had to pass the steak knives round as we only owned four!" This guy: "Fair point, strange that I never counted that in between all the measuring for fit."
@@BloodSprite-tan I have never used a butter knife for cutting butter, this millenium. I don't even own one. But I can see their use for precision jam spreading; however my regular (non-steak) knives do that job (minus precision) similarly well.
So do you just wake up in the morning, get a spoon from the drawer for your Captain Crunch, look at the arrangement of the cutlery and go 'Hey! I can totally over-engineer this with woodworking!'? Because my God it just dropped my jaw how you did that. Your house must be beautiful by now.
I wonder why you chose to plane off most of the thickness of two bamboo panels (with great wear on your planer blades) instead of sing thin baltic birch plywood. The entire build reminds me of Norm and massive use of expensive power tools to achieve a simple result.
Chic, I will repair the kitchen, be sure to do something like that. You are well done that not only do, but also share their skills. I admire your ideas and skills.
Why did he plane the boards to wafer thin and where were they used? After planing he went on to cutting more cutting boards, where were the wafer thin panels used?
LOL the last forks and spoons stick up to high to close the drawer. The last images of the video show only 7 pieces of each type of cutlery (spoons and forks) in the channels.
I love the freehand! I wonder really if that would even be possible. And the finished product has so many nooks and crannies to collect dirt, who would want to eat with these utensils.
Steve Blanck it’s for storing clean utensils in a well kept kitchen Slobs have no need for this product as a flick of the wrist will suffice flinging utensils in a drawer haphazardly
When you put those utensils away... oh baby! It gave my OCD shivers of delight. Do you find that the butter knives slide back because of their shape? Awesome build!

This is by far the most over engineered utensils drawer i have ever seen. Love it.
Genius. The mount design for the angles dividers in the middle. Absolute genius.
That is the most complicated drawer organiser I've ever seen and I love it 😂
I want one so badly. Awesome make. Love the way the forks and spoons stack and the individual slots for the knives.
I respect your dedication to the art of total over-engineering - inspiring to watch
I try not to look ahead or pay a lot of attention to thumbnail intros so there is some, “suspense” to, “the show”. This had me totally confused until I saw the finished product. Absolutely amazing workmanship and very well thought out. Thank you for sharing!
Ohhh the precise fit of the finished product, so satisfying! As is the lack of music by the way, love hearing the machines and such.
I've never before fallen in love with a cutlery shelf before. That was so satisfying to watch that be built.
Complicated but beautiful.
Will not make one like this ever, but I admire your skills
Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing. I LOVE this! Super cool design and I dig all the complex individual pieces that come together as a very elegant whole. 👍🏻
What amazed about is how everything was cut so precisely and fit so perfectly
HuffleMort yes if you have tools that work precisely, you too can have this grass drawer organizer.
Measured Workshop guy is a man of focus, sheer will.
Great job man!
So precise and elegantly hand crafted .... now is shipping and handling including in payment.
What a masterpiece anyone would be proud to have that in their drawers. Wish we could buy them. Yes i know it defeats the object but this is true craftsmanship. Love it thank you for sharing.❤
I was lost trying to figure out the design but once it all came together it made perfect sense. Looks great!
The first time I watched this I was like this is unnecessarily complicated. But now I understand it and it totally makes a lot of sense.
I have watched a number of times and I will be watching a number of times again. Thank you very much for the video. I’ll be off to the shop to try and duplicate this. Love the idea
I thank I counted 7 tablespoons 1 short
Oops there are eight sorry
Pur luxury! Unpayable!! Sooo beautiful😍
Hello there. good idea. Nice workmanship. I did the same last year. And I'm still using it. congratulations. You're doing a good job. Thank you for sharing............
@markyhabs it's not about the money factor. Its about owning something that you handcrafted.
A lot of wood workers are very passionate about their craft. Just as musicians are passionate about the music they write and play. Everyones got their own thing that they're passionate about.
If your mind took time to make this bless his heart, just love him.
That was a lot of hard work. The meticulous detail is appreciated as are your skills with all those wonderful tools.
The love of wood shows.
Great JOB.

Pretty nice project that mitred spline is a clever touch.
Lots of really nice tricks.

Turn on captions you’ll see why
Yeah, it would have made more sense to have simply ripped one board in half.

@Neil Peters Your comment makes no sense in relation to mine.
Love this design and it keeps things a lot more organized. Thank you for sharing
I thought I had OCD with organization in my kitchen but now I can relax!
Слов просто нет. Шикарно!!
The design is nice for a couple who lives alone!
This. Once you have at least 1 child, this beautiful holder, sadly, just wont be helpful
Dude you are such an amazing artist. This is science. I am speechless.
You made it and we will buy it. Amazing
Bom dia não consigo parar de assistir seus vídeos que Deus continue te abençoando
Ikea really was putting their customers to the test on this one
Very very good work.
Thanks.
Beautiful ,nice and clear! 👏👍😎
On my list of AWESOME projects. I'll make one of these, my wife demands one.
It was so cool in the end I was nearly brought to tears
exelente trabajo prolijo y queda espacio en un cajon congratuletion
Mate.... while I envy and admire your obvious skill and artistry .... you know IKEA sells cutlery drawer tidy?
That being said loving your work.
Some people like making their own stuff. I do but don't have the supplies or tools. So I just sit on RUclips and dream lol
Very nice work my friend. Very nice.
You should make more and sell them ❤️❤️❤️ they're beautiful than for ikea
The organizer looks awesome with that bamboo texture.
You are so creative, sir.
Ustalıkta gelinen son nokta. Bu bir şaheser. Türkiyeden selamlar.
Wife: Look, honey! I bought a new set of utensils!
This guy: _Noooooo!_
*laughs in Ikea*

@@SenselessUsername you only use butter knifes for butter? though i do agree 4 steak knifes is not enough.
😆

I would love to have all his tools to do this!
Do you have plans for something like this?
Plans that can be easily modified based on drawer size for overall length and slot size for cutlery used.
All the way from egypt, im telling you you are a great designer.
Best silverware organizer ever, how much? I am in So Cal, very interested.
My gosh this thing is beautiful! I love how the utensils look all together!

Was totally expecting you to slide another next to it :) ... great build!
This is the most organized and precise organizer I've ever seen! I love your job! Greetings!

Rústico e delicado. Simplesmente incrível!
Trop jolie,j'aimerai bien avoir une comme ça.Que du succès a vous.
Good job and so beautiful
That is a work of art. Not for every day use.
Chic, I will repair the kitchen, be sure to do something like that. You are well done that not only do, but also share their skills. I admire your ideas and skills.
I love it! I think I might try this one.
Cool trick I learned for @7:13 is you can scoop that out really well with a plastic straw.
Beautiful
Good ol' Howard butcher block conditioner! I use it for most of my turnings. Holds a good luster!
OMG, 2here can i buy it! I need it.
Beautiful piece of art.
Why did he plane the boards to wafer thin and where were they used? After planing he went on to cutting more cutting boards, where were the wafer thin panels used?
I Love this and how detailed you are. I would like to place an order - Are you taking orders? Will you take an order? Please !!!
extraordinary very inspiring
Wow very professional
Very beautiful design, details are also handled very delicately. Too fond of the texture of bamboo
Excellent job
This is beautiful

Very good 👍
True work of art.
Wow ... what a pc of art .
This is pure luxury. Where can I purchase one?
awesome job! very clever design.
Wooww.. Simply awazome... But, only expert can do it..
WOW! It’s beautiful, well made and will last a lifetime. But it’s labor intensive!!!
Que peça mais linda , que capricho .
When you put those utensils away... oh baby! It gave my OCD shivers of delight.
Do you find that the butter knives slide back because of their shape?
Awesome build!
It annoyed my OCD. Who puts knives and spoons together? That is the least used cutlery combination!
Muy buen trabajo gracias
Very beautiful craftsmanship. I would like to buy one like this🌟🌟
Que detalle en toda la elaboración, te quedo genial.
Fantastic I want one
Nice video, well done sir
Wao so nice and osame 💡idia i love your Chanel and i same work
Beautiful, very clean and super organized! Thanks for sharing :)
Wonderful work...👏👏👏
Nice job, great idea. Thanks for sharing.
Класс! Мне очень понравилась. Красивый. Спасибо вам. Вы золотые руки.
Good work 👍
I see nothing to prevent the forks from sliding back and forth as you open/shut the drawer.
Nice board with weird technic. If you want thinner board, you could cut one board into halves, so you get 2 thin slice board
