Spring Day is our queen, shes so beautiful yet sad at the same time, she makes me cry when ever i hear her especially Vs bit “ you know it all your my best friend”.
She also reminds me of both my friend i left behind when i was younger when i had to move and also reminds me of my nana that passed away a couple of years ago.
Her lyrics are just like poetry and so beautiful and her MV is so beautiful as well also the song is about the Sewol ferry tragedy that happened where there was a school class was in the ferry and everyone who was in that class including teachers died
imma just accept.. that everytime i hear spring day and actually think abt the lyrics imma bawl my eyes out

After watching the spring day mv I watched a video of that incident and I swear I didn't have strength to watch it all I was disgusted to see such inhumane behavior l felt like the authorities were only trying to record the incident didn't care about the students trapped inside they were just like camera this.....camera that.... while the students were told to stay inside AND the captain escaped first without any care or compassion for those who were inside and didn't even knew what was happening outside. I just couldn't watch further.

Hi I'm Korean and there's actually an explanation to this video. There is a theory that this video is connected to Sewol Ferry accident that happened in Korea where stuents drowned and the Captain and staffs evacuated. More than 300 people died from the accident, mostly students. You guys might have a lot to say from the explanation!
This song actually is about sewol tragedy that occurred in South Korea.. students were on a field trip and a problem occurred due to which many of them drowned.
Some BTS members are shown as the dead students who are being remembered by the survivors and also those students drowned because thier teachers told them to not get up when the boat was drowning so its a take on how authorities ruin the people under them!
That's just a theory! But RM did say it's about missing best friends, especially those who left the world

@@Kaptionist no...it was a theory but recently in an interview jin confirmed that it was written by keeping in mind this incident and they wanted to convey thier feelings towards the incident through thier music

I've seen others suggesting that you show them an explanation video (fan theory). I think it would be really interesting for the video editors to see, because it shows just how non of the scenes are coincidental, and the mv needs to be edited correctly in order for the message to come through clearly but still give room for a lot of different interpretations. I would recommend either the one by Bulletproof Vibes or Italian Army. The one by Bulletproof Vibes I feel like (in my opinion) has the most accurate/believable interpretation overall. The latter, however, gives a much deeper and better understanding of the connection to the Sewel Ferry tragedy - so I understand why a lot of people prefer this one. Either (or both?) explanation video would be great to watch.

Tbh, I actually was a backup dancer for Not Today. You don't have to believe me but it was stressful learning and staying in sync with 70 other people but we eventually got it while the ones in the very back weren't keeping in sync which is why they were in the back because know one would pay attention to the back but pay attention to BTS. I was the 4th row back behind BTS. Oh and Jin used to have more screen time but BigHit decided to cut it out because it needed more shots of the message behind the M/V.

Y'all need to see the explanation video for Spring Day. Then you'll know how the way they made the video - the storyline, the coloring, the details, the metaphors, were all very purposeful. There is not one thing that is trivial about the video. Nothing was made all just to make it look pretty. All the technique used in making the song and translating it into video were all to serve a purpose, the kind that is core to who and what BTS is all about. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Most people when they see it try to understand the story, but I think you guys could give a really unique point of view with the cinematic storytelling aspects! Please consider it!

So hard to believe the tragedy happened in 2014. The real life story of innocent, young lives being lost and survivors feeling guilty. All that was left were piles of clothing and their things. Truly such selfishness from elders who should have tried to protect the numerous youths they were responsible for. May the families heal and hope this song gives them some healing. BTS' bravery to speak about this tragedy never stops surprising me. They chose to acknowledge heinous events that many were scared to even approach.
Jin was originally scouted on the streets of soul. He had no prior music experience either dancing or singing. He was originally brought on as the visual for the group. He worked really hard and has become an excellent singer and dancer. But he is still a visual for the group and I suspect that's one of the reasons for the signature shot of him in each of the videos.
Spring Day” came out three years after the sinking of the Sewol ferry, a disaster in which an improperly inspected, overloaded, and unbalanced ferry capsized on an overnight journey. The ship had been loaded with twice the legal limit of cargo on its decks, and the ship’s crew had lied about the boat’s total weight. 304 passengers, the majority of them high school students on the way to a sight-seeing field trip, drowned, as they had been ordered to stay in their cabins until it was too late. Only 172 passengers survived the wreck.

this song is about the sewol ferry crash that happened in 2014. it was a HUGE scandal in korea. there was 476 people on the ferry, more then 3/4ths high school kids who were going on a field trip. the ferry had taken too much weight (and the crew knew this) and it began to capsize. the crew told everyone to stay in their rooms since moving was dangerous. only 172 people survived (304 people died). the captain escaped while the passengers began to drown, water filling their rooms. one of the STUDENTS had to call for help but he sadly passed away in the capsizing. the captain was arrested and the crew. the owner of the ferry company ran and went into hiding. there was a man hunt and they supposedly found his body in a field. it's honestly heartbreaking. rest in peace to them.

The laundry scene with the clothes tumbling in the washing machine, is representative of the portholes on a ship, the yellow ribbons on the roundabout are also significant to the Sewol ferry disaster.
Jin did have eye surgery, not sure if it was laser or lens implants but it is often commented on, that his eyes are very clear and catch the light.
All of the shots in this video have a meaning.

'Spring Day' is a song with many stories. In Korea, there was a tragedy called the Sewol Ferry incident in 2014, and nearly 300 adolescents were buried in the sea. The cause of the accident was corruption and the government officials who aided him, which led to a dismantling civil revolution. 'Spring Day' is a song dedicated to commemorating and paying tribute to the youths who died innocently.
It’s the seaweed effect but in swag rather than adorable. They move like each other.

As of the day I am posting, Spring Day has been on the charts in Korea for more than 220 weeks. Ever since it was released in February of 2017.

I really want to see a reaction to Stay Gold, particularly because of the ending flower set. The amount of work that went into building that was just astounding.

As for the meaning behind this, it was basically BTS speaking about the social injustice of the Sewol Ferry accident which the korean govt tried to cover up, shift the blame, and BTS talked about the pain and suffering of the families of the dead, they demanded justice prevails and it did. My friend died in the actual Sewol ferry accident, i felt angered that my own government tried to cover this up, that nobody was giving my friend justice as he was a good person, one person in my life who gave me a reason to live. When he died, i died, and people were scared to speak out. BTS was one of the few who did, and by releasing this MV alone, others joined and justice was served. The BTS members represent those who died on the ship. I hope people wont be so quick to judge our boys as they’re not gay boys, pretty boys, they’re BTS!

I didn't really begin stanning BTS until my dad passed, then I found Spring Day literally the same day that he left us. I'm so glad I did, I think I would've continued to be lost until this day, but its worse completely flipped my perception. It's basically saying it'll be rough, but spring will come, we'll be stronger, and we'll bloom like a flower.

What is wanted to be told in this video clip is the children who died in the train accident and the clothes belong to them and the shoes belong to them. It is about the things left behind by children who could not live their childhood. It has a very sad story.😢
