He is one of the male singers that I'd always waiting for at that time. Only the younger generations didn't know him that much coz his songs didn't gain that much intention from the current GP. But he's still doing well & pretty much do some OST for dramas too.

@call me otaku, i listened to "Take if off" by Pharrel Williams and read the lyrics too. Spring day is not a cover at all. The music doesn't sound like "Take if Off" and even less the lyrics of Spring day that is about saying ggod-bye to someone and missing them deeply has nothing to do with "Take it off" that seems to be about a person wanting the other to take off their clothes.

Cuz Lee Hyun and his members won Best mixed group in MAMA 2009. In 2010, 8eight got nominations for best grp vocal perf. in MMA. And in the same Yr his collab with Changmin got nominations for SOTY in MMA and best collab in MAMA. They won best ballad songs in KOMCA for the same song.
Again In 2011, he got nominations for best solo in MAMA. And other wins too, which is obvious becuz MAMA and MMA don't chose random unpopular nominees.
Recent activities, he had 4 consecutive wins in King of masked singer, stayed king for 10weeks.

BigHit is truly a beast. The raised their artists the same way: talented, humble, kind, extra, hilarious, and supporting. Band pd-nim truly has an eye for artists. BTS, Lee Hyun, TXT. All of these artists are amazing. And if you look closer, you would find that some of these amazing artists are ones that have been rejected by other companies, while others are one that were chased by companies( looking at you Jungkook). Yet, BigHit gathered them all together under the same agency and nurtured them into the Kings they are today.

I became a bts fan literally one week ago and it was because of bts' performance of this song at the graduation at home thing and every day since then ive been watching videos of them 24/7 and i practically know so much about them already and ive learned some korean as well💀💀 i even bought bts things for my room. So point is, i became a huge fan from this song. And funny thing is, i used to strongly dislike them and kpop in general but now its the complete opposite💜

The fact Spring Day is dedicated to the Sewol Ferry victims makes the song so much more meaningful. I never knew that until just recently. Now I can’t help but cry every time I hear it. 400+ students boarded a ship to Jeju Island for a field trip. However, they did not make it. The ship started tilting, and the crew and captain told the students to stay put. No one was there to help them. The staff kept the students in the dark about what was going on. During autopsy on some of the students, it was revealed some of them had broken fingers due to possibly breaking the windows out of hope to get them open to escape. There was a couple who tied themselves together so they wouldn’t be apart, even after death. The diver bringing them up was apparently so moved, he did everything he could to make sure they weren’t separated even after they were brought up to shore. Sadly, a diver who participated in the search committed suicide because of the trauma he had from bringing those children up and seeing so many bodies. The Principal (or teacher. I can’t remember) unfortunately did the same. He felt so guilty that he didn’t wanna live anymore. Instead of getting everyone out to safety, the captain put his own life first and escaped long before the ship started to actually sink. The only children who survived did not listen to the staff. 300+ children were lost in that incident. 300+ students went on that ship. 70 students came out alive. To this very day, 5 bodies are still missing. The captain got life in prison. *Never forget 04/16/14🎗*

BTS has been so popular but I was not really following their update until they released Spring Day. I think Spring Day made me love BTS even more. The lyric is truly beautiful. Similar to Lee Hyun, the first part when RM says "I miss you. Saying this makes me miss you even more" . That's when I fell in love with the song. It's truly beautiful. When they relate it to the season change, I was also surprised. It's not the first time I heard a song telling a story about how seasons change but Spring Day gives me a different vibe. The feeling of yearning feels so original. From the start until the end. It's just so beautiful.

Spring Day is my most favorite song BTS wrote and sung. Lee Hyun-oppa singing it full of emotion made me cry like I heard the Spring Day with english lyrics for the first time.
That's why many artists in korea love this song very much. Up until now, there were still people who never get tired listening to this song. They can't get over with it. I've watched a video too where k idols and the audience are crying when listening to it.

Well the song is actually not a love song.. as it goes deeper in the lyrics, it is about loosing a friend and coping with the feeling of loss.
It is also linked to the sewol ferry tragedy and the political issues about it. BTS and Big Hit took a big risk releasing this song at that time, but gained a lot of respect from the Korean public for it.
I highly recommend you to look it up.

Tasnia Tanisha it's originally based off of a leaf falling, but the lyrics and the MV combined reference Snowpiercer, the ones who walk away from Omelas, and a few other art pieces to (possibly) pay tribute to the victims of the sewol ferry tragedy and their friends and families [they never truly confirmed that it was a tribute to the tragedy, but BH and BTS silently donated money to the victims and their families]
Yoongi and Nam wrote the song about their friendship but included it this tragedy in the MV and a little bit in the lyrics.

I knew lee hyun from here and there, but only saw this clip now while watching BTS surprise birthday parties. I fell in love with lee hyun's voice when he sang Spring Day. It's just so raw and full of emotions that I'm touched and teary eyed. He's an underrated but really good singer. You can tell he's close to BTS and loves them like his brothers.

I’m currently watching this video and after watching an entire documentary about the Sewol Ferry Incident, the lyrcis do hit different. Just hearing the lyrics itself is very heartbreaking after watching all those parents crying out in agony for their children.

Damn. I knew Spring Day is a rather depressing song but after hearing the way Lee Hyun describe BTS and the song's lyrics, my tears fell uncontrollably. 😭
Hyunie is amazing. This is why the boys love him, he has spades of talent of his own but he is humble and appreciates other talent as they do. I can't imagine two artists more different in style but so similar in grace and humility.
