Man, I just found Phillip yesterday. What an amazing talent. He’s so underrated. Phenomenal talent and great vocals. New fan from North Carolina. Please pass it along. I have been watching and listening to as much as I can find and I will be buying his stuff soon. I enjoy 2 friends interviewing because it’s just friends talking. Good stuff man. Thank you again.
Phillip is just flat out powerhouse blues killer killer player....you MUST take time to watch his you tubes videos....dude is hands down a treasure...super nice guy who can play with the best of them...great songs and one hell of an entertainer
Speaking of how hard Kenny Aronoff hits... When Jon Bon Jovi's Blaze of Glory came out, I was blown away by the snare drum sound. I rem telling my brother(a great drummer himself), "listen to that snare, it sounds like a shotgun blast!". It's obvious Kenny is hitting the hell out of it to get that sound.
@@WyattWillis88 Yeah, I didn't know it was Kenny at first either until I had watched a short MTV documentary(back in the day of course) about the making of that soundtrack.
This is so freaking awesome. Phillip is such the man. I totally feel you on that string thing. People’s body chemistry is different like crazy. I had a buddy, that when he would play my guitars, if it had 9s on it he would eat through the coating or whatever and break a string within 2-3 songs. The strings would be brand new and the high E would snap and all the other strings looked like they had been through an acid bath for weeks. Lol. Michael, you are really killing it lately and I’m super loving your channel the last few months. Keep it up and much love from Tulsa.
Such a great conversation and now a new fan of Mr Sayce thanks to you Mr Nielsen. If Pete Thorn and Philip Sayce ever did a livestream it would just be them thanking each other and apologizing the whole hour😁 just kidding can definitely tell they are both the nicest guys who happen to be Canadians. Cheers 🍻
Philip is an absolute demon! No need to apologise for the technical difficulties Mike. You're the champ! Somewhere in the future, possible for you to get Kee Marcello on the podcast?
Wish someone would do a clone of his wah. It’s THE sound I’ve always been after. You’d think with all the boutique companies and builders someone would be able to do it and get Philips blessing/nod of approval.
Hi Micheal. First, thank you SO much for doing this interview and including the Peace Machine Album. I’ve always been a HUGE fan of that album - one of my top three. Is the song Peace Machine a one take? Cause when you see the studio clips here on RUclips, it’s the same that ended up on the album. And also, do you know if there is more clips of that recording online somewhere? Peace, and thank you 🤘🏽✌🏾.
Actually in peace machine he got two strats whit the same colour, one was mother and the other one he used to play whit low d tuning, in fact my question is about that guitar, what happen to it?
Nobody hits strings hard like Phil. Him and Eddie hit them like no other in that style. Neal Schon is a great picker but he doesn't slam them like that.
YES! Phil is such an amazing musician and just seems like a great person.
Ooooh can't wait for this. Been a Phil fan for a long time, dude is LEGIT.
Phil is a hammer. His live sound and vibe is insane.
I wouldn’t be sad if this lasted 3 hours. So awesome!
This interview could go on all day as far as im concerned. Like listening to a couple friends just shooting the breeze. Very cool. Thank you
Awesome!! Philip Sayce is one of favorite guitar players of all time! 🥇
