Againts spear hollows.
You"kick" their shield away and attack. Curved swords can not do "kick".
You attack their shield then you block so counter-attack is"deflected" and you attack. Medium shields will likely cause bounce-off/deflection.
Some big two-handed weapon can break their guard and you attack.
They are slow you circle around them and backstab for a likely 1 hit kill.
