Capra Demon is really weird to me, because it's essentially a boss fight version of the boar encounter in Undead Parish, but done completely incompetently. They both feature a tough enemy surrounded by a bunch of small enemies, and a staircase that you can kite the small enemies too. Except the boar fight lets you see what you're up against before you get attacked, doesn't let the boar go up the stairs so you can separate it from the hollows, and gives you a good distraction tool in form of alluring skulls. I don't know why FromSoftware decided to revisit the concept so quickly, or how they did it so much worse.
Here's a fun fact i heard. The painted world of Ariamis was one of, if not the first area FromSoft developed and finished when they were still making the game. And apparently the original plan was to have Nito as the main boss of the area, which implies that it was originally not an optional area at all. Also, during this time Priscilla wasn't an enemy yet and was supposed to be your token firekeeper waifu you used to level up.
About Gwyn's height: the reason most Fromsoftware bosses are larger than you, and why pretty much every humanoid boss is, mostly comes down to the simple fact that fighting a small enemy causes some weapons to miss entirely, which is never very fun. Also, it might cause camera issues if they get too close, as your body and weapons could block theirs. Even the cutscenes are misleading, since the bosses will appear to be around your same height, but in the fight they'll actually be much taller (ex: Malenia, whose chair is clearly not suited for her in-game model).
I think it's a good thing FromSoftware removed tail cuts. Cutting Seath and Kalammet's tail is significantly harder and vastly more annoying than trying to beat them on an SL1 run. Some tail cuts aren't that bad, such as Gaping Dragon, but those two are so obnoxious that I'm more than fine with just getting boss weapons from their soul.
Remarks (I'll update this comment as I watch the video): The Moonlight Butterfly has one more attack you didn't mention. It can fly over to the other side of the bride and drop a magic bomb from above. It's a rare attack though.
Thank you for rating Quelaag properly. Her fight could have been interesting, but she spends so much of the fight spewing lava in font of her, leaving her legs exposed for 4 seconds. It almost feels like I'm fighting Gaping Dragon sometimes.
16:36 I wholeheartedly disagree with this take cause on my first playtrough I fought them before even finding the gargoyles so for me they did NOT needed more hp lmao 😅
I'm so fukin sad on how elden ring which had best souls bosses, doesn't have a masterpiece of a gank boss. Like please from soft, when ganks are done well, they are just so fukin good. One of my faverite examples is hrist and mist in elden ring, like holy shit, tht fight is cinema. In every aspect. Man does it feel like both sky and earth are crashing onto you
Wait a minute, malenia is bad?????? Damn, like my faverite boss probably ever in souls is bad.... Don't know how to feel abt it. I just have this big smile on my face when ever I see malenia in randomizer. Like she is just so fukin good. I get why people don't like it, but bad...... Ehhhhhhhh
DS1 had a really bad average boss quality and it aged really bad on that aspect. On a side note, I'd say that every DLC boss is better than the main game ones and those are really good and reedemable (Also Bed of Chaos isn't even top 30 worst bosses imo, it's better than more than half of the bosses here tbh)

Absolute cinema
The true boss in the Kalahmeet fight are the controlls
The taurus demon’s arena is the thing that makes him good
Everyone at this point know what Moonlight butterfly is, use ranged combat for the Gwyn sake. Is that easy.
It already got a remake
It got a remaster. Remake is a whole different thing.

Sinh is better than kalameet lil bro
No
@@-Sparagmos-Yes. He has better hitboxes and more advanced AI + a more interesting moveset.
Yeah I really love how my weapon breaks and he flies really slowly those parts are peak
the word "masterpiece" has lost all its meaning if a game full of shit is considered to be one

Artorias is the most overrated boss ever, manus and sanctuary guardian are much better
