Hello Rachel I am from India I appeared in medical entrance exam called "NEET".
I qualify the exam but I have no money to participate in the counseling process.
If you can help me then please reply...waiting for reply.
Thank yoi
I think you might have found your niche in Med! congratulations on the delivery of the baby... well done!
yessssss, you did im so proud of you!! (For some reason when I saw this video I shouted “yes she did it!”)
Delivered her first two babies and got a high five from the doc?! Our queen is ROCKING it. 🥺😭🐜♥️
quite literally 🥺🤌🏾‼️
Omg stop you guys 😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Your love for obgyn is infectious to me who has been there for 9 years almost !!! Thank you ❤️ we need more doctors like you Rachel!!!!
My heart 😭❤️
Birth is an incredible time-especially when things don’t go as planned. We are so lucky to live in a time when the Rachels of the world bring SKILLS! You go girl!
😭😭😭
I can tell this is your calling! your happiness made me feel happy
Just had my first baby girl, and it was SUCH a hard vaginal delivery. No one prepares you for it! It’s so important to feel supported in those moments. You will be a wonderful OB one day 🤍
AWH. CONGRATULATIONS ❤️❤️
I'm a labor and delivery nurse and I remember when I had my first nurse delivery, the adrenaline rush was so big and I remember crying when I walked out of the room and said "that was the coolest thing i've ever done in my life"
Congrats!!
You are the BEST example of a 'growth mindset'! Your love of, and openness to learning is amazing. So happy for you, and finding your passion!
ahh! as a nursing student, i just want to say thank you for being such a positive and inspiring person! you are definitely one of my favorite youtubers and give me motivation to keep me going in school! ty!
My exact thoughts!!!
In the same situation thinking the same thing!
I delivered my son at a canadian teaching hospital and I was amazed by the care I received from residents and students! i'm excited to deliver my second baby at the same hospital with the same amazing team! The stitching my resident did was a ''work of art'' according to the ob/gyn and i healed really well, the episiotomy and recovery weren't as bad as I had imagined. My family doctor also is a resident and I wouldn't have it any other way. Passionate residents are the most well-versed and dedicated!
Aww Rachel, this was your goal your dream ❤️ "Be there for the mommas" 🥰 I'm so happy to see you so happy you worked so hard for it!
I love the genuine joy and happiness that you’re having right now. It often seems easy to find yourself in a career later to realize you’re unhappy and doing something that you weren’t truly meant to do. It’s encouraging to see and be reminded how you should feel when you’re doing something that you really enjoy doing. Thank you for sharing it with us! ✍️
I was upset and crying badly because I got bored of studying and not achieving anything until RUclips recommended this
I'm so proud of u ❤ thanks for the motivation, I hope to be like u one day !
You are working so hard and adjusting so well to the intensity of your work. I can’t imagine what it’s like to bring life and love into the world like you’re doing or to witness it. It does sound really pure and beautiful. Catharsis of those moments must make everything and anything worth it. As far as the exhaustion I think it’s like a runners high sort of. When we get pumped and motivated we can put in way more energy than we realize. I think everyone knows it’s important to work towards balance but your doctor helping you to fly a little bit probably put alot of adrenaline (or whatever) in you and that’s going to come with a crash, but she must be a good teacher because it’s moments like that which will help you soar. The sky is really beautiful out by you, where I used to live it would get so red that the inside of my house would glow like a Chinese lantern. Anyway, it’s very sweet that your mom cooks for you. People out there should remember to show their mom some love. Do you have any idea what she’s probably done for you? Also think it’s a good habit that you practice stitching not just for your job but as a destressor. It’s a little bit like celtic art or braiding or crocheting. Much love to you. Always inspiring and uplifting.
OMG I AM SOOO HAPPY FOR YOU RACHEL HOPE ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUEEEE 😩😩❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love seeing how happy this makes you! I hope you never lose this passion 💖
She won’t give up something she has been working on for so long, dw 💜
@@maraisfan4life517 not saying she will give up, but it’s not uncommon for physicians to lose their passion unfortunately. Very easy to get caught up in the business side of things
YESS SO EXCITED !! Living through you vicariously😭😭
Ditto, lol. I'm looking forward to this moment so bad.
That's how I felt the first day I was student teaching. Such a magical feeling to do something you have always wanted to do career wise.
Me about to prepare for my chemistry exam tomorrow, and this just motivated me so muchh! Organic chemistry felt like a huge block in my life. Seeing you go through so much to get here and smiling so much, motivates me to work hard so that I'll get there too😭❤️
MAN, YOU'RE ENERGY IN THIS VIDEO MADE ME SO HAPPY! CONGRATS ON YOUR FIST 2 BABY DELIVERIES, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Wow how neat that you got to deliver so many babies and you even impressed your attending on the first one as well!! It’s such an inspiration to see you find your passion and work towards it. I’m interested in surgery and would love to have more info about suturing and how to learn new techniques. I recently got a suture board from Amazon & I am excited to learn how to use it!
Thank you Shandis! Maybe I’ll do a little suture short soon:)
During my internship at a periphery tertiary hospital...I had a case of obstructive labor in a extremely bad stormy night....and found out it was a macrosomia with shoulder dystocia...usually seniors handle this type of complicated case ...but it was emergency .and crowing was present ..only two doctors including I was available....and I had performed a cleidotomy on that night .....OB/GYN is not my passion...but I really appreciate my colleague who are aspiring to be a one of the best.definitely one of the best feeling when you are the medium by which this type procedure is done.Best of luck Dr Rachel .
Video topic suggestions: Clinicians / med students frustrations with the EHR.
When it comes to the EHR, it is well documented that there is disdain for it. Whether it is due to the perceived amount of time it takes to document during the patient encounter or not being able to navigate the EHR efficiently.
I am not sure how many med schools handle this which is why I proposed this video topic.
Do you feel like in any of your doctoring classes (seems appropriate to be apart of doctoring) the help prepare you for clinical documentation. Is there any extensive training on the EHR, the benefits, but also the barriers for implementation?
Would you like your school to handle this differently, or is it already well-managed?
What do you typically find most frustrating about the EHR? Is there anything about the EHR process from your POV that could be improved?
What do you like about it the most?
Do you believe their should be a focused training module on it for both physicians and students to become more comfortable with it and so there's less frustrations?
I am entering the healthcare data analyst field and exploring these topics from the patient safety perspective, improved outcomes, reduced costs all seem beneficial. I also recognize that there is a resistance to it from a clinician standpoint and I would like to further understand it.
Your happiness and enthusiasm is so infectious and I’m really happy for you that this rotation is finally here!! The size difference of the uterus is really cool to see visually as well :) really enjoyed this weeks vlog
I'm here watching this again and this is making me really emotional all over again 🥺🥺🥺 We need more like you Rachel ❤❤
Back in nursing school I worked as an anesthesia tech in a small hospital, and I would stand in the sidelines of c sections to run for any supplies or be an extra pair of hands. I had seen a vaginal delivery but it’s so many people and i never got involved. They pulled this baby boy out in the OR and they were handing him over to the nurses and as he was being handed off I swear he opened his eyes so big and I felt like he looked straight at me and I said “welcome to the world little mister” and I will never forget the feeling
I am so fucking glad to see someone be so passionate about nursing. 💕 usually I hear people say negative things so it’s refreshing
I’m not going to be a nurse 🥲🥲 I’m a med student-but thank you!!🥳
@@RachelSouthard oh sorry about that!!

I'm so happy for you rachel ❤❤
Thank you for sharing your stories. I love your spirit and perspective 💕 I had my little one in April 2020 and was so scared because it was the height of the pandemic and they were restricting spouses at the time. In retrospect my labor was quite quick, but when it came time to push the baby was not positioned great so they tried to use the suction tool but 2 tries and no luck, then my little ones heart rate started to drop and the team of doctors immediately decided to do a C-section. I was so upset and scared since my OB was not on the rotation schedule; they limited the doctors in the hospital due to the pandemic. But I was so lucky because I had a team of Angels and I can't thank them enough for taking care of me and little boy. I'm still pretty traumatized from the whole experience but the clear positive standout was the love and care I received under those crazy conditions. When I watch your video and the excitement and love I your voice, I'm just so grateful that you are joining the team of amazing doctors out there that are bringing little ones into the world. Thank you so much for you passion and grace ❤️🥰❤️
Christine! Thanks for sharing such a personal story with us 💕 I’m glad everything turned out relatively okay for your delivery all circumstances considered

ok this is the first video of yours I've watched, and I'm instantly subbing.. SO proud of you.
Just shadowed a physician for the first time ever yesterday and it went really well. It reaffirmed my desire to be in medicine & I’m gonna shadow in the OR soon. I appreciate all the content that you put out. It’s been a game changer for me in terms of my motivation. Btw I used the shadowing advice you gave me awhile back and I totally killed it
