I love the interview. I support your reviews, views and insights wholeheartedly. Thank you for making the future generations of our medical healthcare profession, more knowledgeable to the reality of it all. 🥰
I have watched her for 2-3 yrs. My lady and I always watch her and the gems she dropped throughout her video. One thing I do think that would benefit future med students would be a discussion with residents who found cheaper, faster alternatives to residency vs the US route. During clinical rotations with US med students I was surprised by the amount of "Busy work," they had to complete during rotations even and the issues/delays they faced with admin---- even after paying 60-70k per yr. Was wild. I hope she is able to keep up with everything. Worried one day she is just going to stop making content/and/or quit.
She is right. Why is so costly to do this? Paying the school so much for tuition when their services are not even used. Like wtf. We do need transparency and also roughly 100 dollars per application to the school is insane.
Yaaasss!! @RachelSouthard I definitely relate to the “Do I have the capacity to do this?” At the same time, I think it takes a special kind of person to be in medicine and a profession that some have a calling for and you my friend, are all of it 🤍
Thank you for having me :)
keep speaking out Rachel!!!
It was an absolute pleasure to have you on the podcast!! Thank you again for all that you have done for the medical community. Cheers! :)
Rachel is an honest person. Residency training is tough across the globe.
The passion when she speaks about OBGYN? So evident❤

Agreed. This is because the US route vs foreign route need to be compared.
@@Earthling108 Agree'd. We had students match, and we pay only 18k a year.... with US rotations. So a really big difference.
I think that's a great idea! I'll get working on it asap. Thanks for the support!

Voting with your feet/i.e dollar is pretty much all we can do-- 400k in debt at 8-9% interest? Is wild.
