    Yes! My favorite Summerslam. This, to me, is one of the best ones ever. Every match was good to great! Especially HBK vs. HHH and even the main event. If people get mad at us for having high standards, blame this show for it.

      Dalyxman okay. I'm not disagreeing with it. It was awesome. And this is what you call a great show not this jobbers fest garbage. Today. That's horrible. Finn Gaylord. Balor vs Seth Rollins was garbage. Trash. Summerslam 2018. Is ganna be crap too. Samoa fat jobber joe vs AJ jobber Styles. Is garbage enough of this Indy fed trash. It's stupid. Seth Rollins vs Dolph ziggler no one cares. Daniel jobber Bryan vs the Miz 2 of the worst ever. It's terrible. That's gay. Period. Finn Gaylord Balor vs whoever. No one gives a crap. The demon is gay stupid boring as piss. Its all bad. And that's why WWE Sucks now and it's a fact. Jack. Period. Triple h is stupid now. He went from fighting Shawn michaels at SSlam 02. To being a idiotic stupid wannabe COO and killing the company even more. He's horrible. He's killed everything. Deal with it because its true. Takeover my ass. Stop it. NXT has killed the main roster. That's not wrestling. Its stupidly.

    This is easily the best SummerSlam ever. This card delivered on so many different levels. It is probably the most consistent card in WWE history as well. I wish we got more PPVs like this in 2014. Phenomenal show!

      @KegOfMeat 10 лет назад +2

      Very much so. The best WrestleMania in ring wise is XIX, this is the best SummerSlam in ring wise and the Survivor Series of 2002 is the best Survivor Series PPV in terms of in ring action.

    2002 had really great PPV's, matches, roster and moments in general, underrated year, somehow, imo.

    • @KegOfMeat
      @KegOfMeat 10 лет назад +1

      The year started off slow but picked up after WrestleMania. I mean when you have a year that has two of the best big four PPVs then you know it was good. ***** and 2002 had five very memorable matches: Rock and Hogan at WM X8, Taker, Angle and Rock at Vengeance, Triple H and HBK here at SummerSlam, Brock and Taker inside Hell in a Cell at No Mercy and then the Elimination Chamber match at Survivor Series. No Mercy was a great show, judgment Day, was decent and king of the Ring was good too.

    Summerslam 2002 was a great and memorable PPV. Brock was a true Breast that year.

      Yeah, Brock Lesnar was a giant tit back then. I agree.

    Best summerslam ever. My favorite ppv of all time is Survivor Series 02. Great matches, (other than Show/Lesnar). I'm a huge HBK mark and him winning the title is probably my favorite wwe moment.

    • @KegOfMeat
      @KegOfMeat 10 лет назад +2

      But even Show/Lesnar did what it was supposed to do: set Lesnar up for his big WrestleMania moment at WrestleMania XIX

  • @Profess84
    @Profess84 10 лет назад +8

    I went back to watch Survivor Series 2002 on the Network, it was awesome. I might get heat for this but what the hell we tend to overly hype the attitude era some times, but honestly the ruthless aggression era had the best PPV's and the deepest rosters from top to bottom, but don't get me wrong i will always love respect what the attitude did for pro wrestling.

    • @KegOfMeat
      @KegOfMeat 10 лет назад +1

      Profess84 2002 and 2003 had the most loaded rosters of stars. Rock, Austin, Hogan (part timers), Angle, Benoit, RVD, Kane, Taker, Triple H, HBK, Goldberg, Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Flair, Batista, Orton, Booker T. Just imagine if the Invasion Angle had bought over Sting, Macho Man, Nash, Hall, Hogan and Goldberg (earlier for the last four) the period of 2001-2003 would be better than the Attitude Era and the Golden Era.

      Lol ok. Billy Kidman, Christian, Cena, Tajiri, Jamie Noble, Hurricane, Lita, Trish Stratus, Jazz, Torrie Wilson, Rikishi, Val Venis,Hardcore Holly, Lesnar (who I didn't mention), Benjamin, Haas, Chavo Guerrero, Sean O'Haire, Big Show, William Regal, Test, Scott Steiner, Lance Storm, Goldust and Zach Gowen.

  • @JustinFitchett

    Summerslam 2002 was a great PPV. Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle, HHH vs HBK & Brock Lesnar vs The Rock are great matches to look back at.

    LOL Lesnar wasnt "cheered" ppl wouldve rooted for anyone who was going against Rock bc they were so butthurt Rock was leaving for a better career in movies. Lesnar wasnt anywhere near ready to be "the guy" and couldnt even talk to save his life.

    The thing with Roman Reigns is if he was to Win the Belt now, who would he feud with after winning it? WWE doesn't treat it's roster like it did years ago. When Brock was given the belt there was Undertaker, Big Show, Kurt Angle, Benoit etc etc for him to play off. The WWE doesn't have that much depth now. Look at Daniel Bryan this year. After he finally won the belt they stuck him with an Old Ass Kane. If Roman wins the belt he will have to face guys like Orton & Kane. No one wants to see that. Roman still needs time. I don't want him to flop & go the John Cena route.

    Damn this card was stacked. I really haven't watched this but I think I need to go back and watch this show. Awesome review series so far even though the gloomy SummerSlam days are coming soon for me. But still looking forward to it Jeff.

  • @alexanderpalm9389
    @alexanderpalm9389 10 лет назад +1

    2002 was very good overall, but it was not that difficult after 2001.. The only thing that was really bad was that they changed into World Wrestling Entertainment (thanks for reminding me Jeff oh sh..) All the big four PPV'S were good if not great, the Brand Split, great Legends and young guns came back or in. I say this is from a pure Wrestling view the best ever, but when you look at the whole Package what a WWF/E PPV can be, it is still way behind the best SummerSlam in History 1992.

    This show has always been my favourite Summerslam. The matchs were very good, the storylines were nice as well. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that Paul Heyman was there. I would have love to see them go one on one without oustide interference. But still one amazing match to end a magnificent show.

  • @KegOfMeat

    My only beef with this PPV is that they did two submission finishes one after the other and also they did two matches where the heel focused on a part of the faces anatomy.

    I thought Chris Jericho vs the (by this time) beyond washed-up Ric Flair was bloody awful. But that aside, an amazing SummerSlam. Especially the opener and the two main matches. They don't make em' like this anymore.

    i agree this show was off the chain and yea rock and brock i thought was great even tho i like lesnar have sense he debut in 02 still do byt i agree i didnt think he was ready i also wounder what austin role would of been if he hadnt of left but good job by wwe and what a first year lesnar had beat rock and angle for the wwe tittle beating taker big show and just about every big name you had thats how you build a star and yea lesnar would of carried them the last decade but all that was over by 04 and in 2 years time he be strucking from the record books by orton as the youngest champ in the companies history witch i have a rant for in the 04 vid

      Ok hear me out, I'm rewriting The Invasion Angle and also doing a bit of 2002 and 2003 for dream matches. I would of had: a Rock/Savage rematch from WrestleMania X8, HBK/HHH in the Unsanctioned Street Fight and Austin vs Lesnar for the belt.

    Why is it that Triple H can have such a good match vs his best mate here, but
    for the next 18 months straight all of his other matches are shit?

    • @thestarlord7835
      @thestarlord7835 10 лет назад +2

      Cause HBK has never had a bad match and RVD and Booker T got those matches out of HHH. Goldberg Nash were some of the worst all time in the ring and Steiner was so far past his prime. HHH was burying what was left of WCW what'd you expect other than shit? WCW main evnts were jokes those guys couldnt go 25 with the GAAAAMEEE.
