Good Job. im home from rehab after my stroke and thinking about how i can get back in my shop. My legs are wobbly and i use a quad cane. My right arm icnt hold a wrench but i can squeeze putty. hoping to get it strong enough to get back wrenching. your Videos keep me motivated.. Thanks always for sharing.
Yeah I wish I could just take a couple days to knock it out but Kevin is getting into tire season and there are a bunch of people out on vacation at my job so I can’t leave. I should have it wrapped up this week I think.
Hey ! I'm currently swapping a 2.0 in my 99 Suzuki jimny and i have few questions for you. 1: what did you do exactly to the flywheel? 2: you said you replace the pilote bearing by a bushing, is there a disadvantage of that ? And what's the spec of the bushing Basically the flywheel is probably the last thing i have to do for the Jimny i mostly figure out the rest Thanks a lot
@@mirtir472 I didn’t do anything to the flywheel, TrailTough modifies them, and they include the bushing in the kit. You could probably contact them and just get those parts if that’s all you’re missing. I wish I knew the answers to your questions but all the R&D was done by TrailTough trailtough.com/product/2-0-2-3-liter-suzuki-engine-conversion-kit/
@@CTMadModz yeah i did contact them I'm actually against a clock for the swap, and they won't have anything in stock untill 2 week. Also shipping is super expensive since I'm not in the use (above 100 grand including duty)
@@mirtir472 well I guess the bushing is the easy part, it needs to match the inside diameter of the crank where the pilot bearing goes, and the inside hole for the shaft on the transmission needs to match. I have no idea what they did with the flywheel, but probably machined it to fit on the back of the crank 🤗
@@CTMadModz i bought the bushing from then I'm waiting for it to be delevered, for the flywheel probably flattened the back, resized the center bore and re drille 8 new hole, i should be okay i think
@@mirtir472 William at TrailTough has always been super helpful when I talk to him. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind walking you through what needs to happen on that flywheel
I ended up cutting my mounts apart too and recut the angle and welded it back up resulting in lowering the engine 2”.
@@mybadford yup, I’m not sure why they don’t offer the mount in this configuration, obviously everybody is cutting and rewelding them 🤷🏼♂️

I was thinking about you a few days ago, I was hoping you were doing better. Keep at her and build your strength, and get back to them projects. 🤩
Happy Easter 🐣 brother!
Happy Easter, He’s alive ☝️🙏🏻🙌🏻
Replacing the Rag Joints with universal joints would have gained you over an inch of clearance and tightened up the steering at the same time.
@@billgoodwin3053 I appreciate your comment, hopefully it will help someone in the future. Thanks for watching my video
Thanks, I miss doing this stuff.
Thanks for watching 🤘😎
I'M EXCITED!!!
Gettin' close..👍🏻

Just wondering if you could have used a metal hose/pipe instead of taping a new hole in the water pump? thanks for sharing
Possibly, tapping the housing was defiantly easier for me 🤣👌
Very cool brother. 🤙🏻🫡
This little 2.0L is gonna wake this rig up. I think once we get done with the swap me and Kevin will start collecting parts to swap ours 🤣

Did you find the motor in Alaska or have to ship it up?
Kevin has a bunch of trackers and sidekicks on his property 30 minutes out of town, so we sourced this one locally.
What gearbox do you use?
We are using the stock samurai transmission and transfer case, I just recently rebuilt it. We used an adapter kit from TrailTough
