Adam... You said you were using FP airfilter. Which is similar if you will to the AE one, HB stock and Losi. I see a lot of people using different ones to include the Kyosho setup which is bigger. Is there an advantage or a need to run a bigger air filter setup in your opinion on these engines?
If you buy the TLR air boot it comes with it. Watch adams video where he works on the brake linkages on Ronda’s car. You can see how it’s mounted there
Antilock braking. My Futaba has adjustable antilock braking which I'm really keen on. I race at the club level but I see few pros using it. Is it a rule thing, preference, effectiveness? Futaba actuates the Servo in a settable oscillation when resistance begins with the servo...its slick.

Min 10:00 he says, "...other than that it is pretty much stock...", you bet. I regret so badly buying this car. I understand there will be always upgrades, but you pay $850 for the kit, and after looking at these videos and after racing it for a couple of months you relize you will basically need 200-300 hundred or more to swap some of those garbage stock parts included with the kit. Example of this, replace those cvds with universals will cost you about $110. Even worse, you need to fix by yourself some of the flaws in the design, just like the unsupported air fitler he mentioned, loose pivot balls, super stiff brake springs that lock the brakes just by touching the trigger, etc. I was happy with the 7R, this 8R was a complete mistake.
Universals is a tuning option. Many racers, depending on the track conditions run CVDs for more traction. All kits have upgrade options available , including the 7R.🤷🏾♂️

With running the universals did you need to change shock settings or springs to give the car more support under acceleration?
I have a o.s 30 vg and my sleeve needs to be resized I was wondering if I can send it to you so you can help me out thanks
Awesome vid Adam where do you get the air filter wire and where did you mount it please 🙂

do you have the part number for the lower front arm supports?
Let’s hear what topics you guys want next:

Hi Adam, what is this wire mount you are using to keep the air filter in place and where is it mounted to the center diff??

no carbon shock towers?
That's some substantial toe out in front
Its less at ride height
Dont forget about trimming the rear shock ends 2-3mm to get the right ride height
thank you sir
