As I listen to your presentation I recall thinking that my skills were improving as time went on not realizing the car’s engineers should be getting the credit.
Building a new kit and discovering the new features of the latest kit from your favourite manufacturer is great. However I've seen guys at my track blame their rig for not doing well in races instead of their driving or lack of practice and finding the right setup. I drive a vintage o'donnell z01 b sg and always come in top 5 out of 20 to 30 racers. A well setup old rig with lots of hours behind the wheel is the key not just buying the latest and greatest every two years... That's core of new kit blues more then not breaking in your buggy/truggy or reassembling it right...just my experience.
the other part of the setup is how you tweaked the MIP bypass pistons during the event, I was struggling to get a sweet spot with them and now you've run them for quite a long time any tips would be great. thanks
Hey, again love the videos. I was hoping you could answer a question regarding engines. Do the nitro engines we use in RC have the same general characteristics full size engines do in regards to their bore vs stroke? So would an over square motor generally rev higher and make more top end power while an under square makes more low torque? Is there a benefit to a square engine? Thanks again.
Don't understand why binding is beneficial. Is this to prevent the shaft from shifting around? I would think the suspension keeps the car stable and upright, not the driveshafts. Where can I read about this?

So the first outdrives you showed where Normal and acceptable wear is is that when u change them obviously the second picture those are trash parts just curious about the the first example thanks
Depends on alot of things. But typically 3-4 runs (6-10mins each) for Ebuggy/truggy. 3-5 tanks for a nitro buggy/truggy. These are just guidelines. Your manufacturer should have a better idea.
Every time I apply what I've learned from these videos, I see the improvements and understand the failures on the track. SUCH AN AMAZING RESOURCE!

Yes, they do have similar characteristics to full size 2 stroke engines. As for what's best, it depends on the application and the desired power band.

Thank you! I would go with whichever brand is best supported in your area or easiest to get parts for.

It depends on the feeling you like. Again, some wear is good, but if they start to get cupped it's time to replace them.
LOL, the Drake Outdrive break in service. Have you tried Titanium outdrives yet?

In 1/10 some of the fast guys even run their rear dogbone's CV dry for more bind and only oil the front joint.
