Turns out I completely overlooked the decal on the interface card holder that states right on it "Red lead is for horizontal and yellow is for Vertical." Sorry about that.

6:15 Once i got a serious shock when i touched one of this contacts on the yoke and the chassis frame at the same time, while the monitor was unplugged from the power supply ! This contacts are isolated by a heatshrink tube, but this can fall off easely.

Good to see a 19K4600 in nice working condition! I got one ages ago that had been necked. I had a K4600 in for repair a fair while ago, turned out that the flyback was bad (which seemed a bit unusual according to what i'd read about them on the 'net but it was definitely bad). I found they were unavailable but the owner was desperate to get it working so I sold them my working one from my necked one (which I intended to put a good crt in at some point). I thought i'd be able to find another flyback without much trouble but I've since not been able to find one!

Yeah. Definitely odd for a flyback to fail on one of these. Never seen it happen in person.

Just picked up a Blasteroids cab with one of these, chassis needs some work but these have a very crisp picture. Great video, thanks for doing these!

At 39:38, black level pot (blue pot) is located on the inside of the video card. Typically when I can it I move the pot to the outside so that I can adjust it while it's on.

At 16:31, most people break the width coil trying to remove it since it's very fragile. (or some are already broken and glued in place.). Best bet is to desolder it and keep it on the metal frame for protection. It's also out of the way and doesn't get banged around or broken when you are recapping the chassis. Super important.
Lastly, the fact that there are no K4600 horizontal width coil replacements on the market makes it especially important not to mess with it. Period.

You can make you life a little easier as well by desoldering the flyback's focus wire from the neckboard after popping off the plastic cover on the bottom of the socket. Then you can unplug the flyback's header from the board and put the FBT to the side while you work on the board.

I'm hit or miss with these 4600's. I've had a good majority of em bog down my isolation transformer as well for reasons unknown.

Once you work on one the 4600 isn't so bad, just a lot different than all its cousins in the design approach. I have three of them! Love me some 4600's! Thanks for the video!

Mike, Im currently working on a k4675, starting with a cap kit. What voltage power transformer should I get for this monitor? I'm just making a whole new power supply for my cabinet...
