    Picked one up at a discount as the bag was missing and took it motocamping at the weekend. Perfect little table for my coffee mug or my beer.

      Right on! I take this on a lot of trips to the woods. It doesn’t weight much and fit in the pack easily enough. Cheers!

    I’m not gonna lie.
    1. If I had one, I’d take it and use it.
    2. I probably wouldn’t tell anyone.
    3. Not sure I’d pay $40 for it.
    4. Your advice to not buy off Amazon is well received.
    5. I’d like to cook on that if it’s sturdy.
    6. I’d set up with my chair and that table for a late morning coffee break.

    I like what you said about not buying off Amazon. People need to support the local businesses. We have a shop in Ft. Wayne that's called Earth Adventures. They have pretty much anything the big stores have and they have a rock climbing gym in their basement. I love going there! Another good video! Oh, and you're not crazy!

    Hello Mark, cool little table. I think it would be better if it was rectangular for it would pack better. I would be willing to pack it on short mileage trips.

    now i own one i think you have the right gist. it just takes up space but barely weighs anything. setup is easy. the small model has plenty of space for a sandwich and a cup, or could hold a trangia 27 or any other gas stove. It's nice not to have food on the ground.

    I wish this was available when I was looking for a backpacking table! I ended up with 2 Cascade Wild tables. I like them, they are only 2 oz each and don't take up any room BUT are not very high off the ground! I think this is a great item to have. Maybe not Gold but fine silver for sure!!

    Pretty cool little table. Not sure I'd take it backpacking but I'd definitely use it while camping in my suv. I guess it would be ok to pack it on short mile trips when hammocking. That "hanging out of the hammock trying to cook on the ground" deal is uncomfortable. It could also be used for entertainment....as a frisbee.

    I like it but I always have a heavy pack already. 9oz doesn’t seem like much, but a few ounces here and there certainly adds up. However, I would definitely take this on short trips for convenience! - Brandy

    Well I was interested in this table but I dont know if you like it or wanna make fun of yourself for buying it. One thing I know is I dont concern myself with what other people take hiking or camping. I take and tote what I wanna tote.

    So am wondering what kind of heat it can take ?...I can just see myself melting that thing straight away. Mine would be curled up on one side or have a hole burned through it 1st time out lol ...I do have a larger car camp/base camp table w/cup holders etc. & rarely use it (& it can double as a stool/seat). Be interested to see how it works for you.
    Oh & I rarely use Amazon for anything besides books, which I believe was its original purpose back in the day.

    • @TrailandBackAgain
      @TrailandBackAgain  2 года назад

      Not sure on the heat rating. I will be setting on hot cup of coffee on it (tokes pot) in 9 days. I don’t think that will cause any issues. 🤙🏕

    I have a DIY version of the Schwarze Biene spike table. I love having the coffee/drink next to me instead of on the ground. It's also nice as a side table next to the hammock. Basically it's nice not having everything on the ground. My DIY version is made from an inexpensive plastic cutting board and a crossbow arrow shaft. The cutting board is handy as a.... get this.... a cutting board for meal prep. Can also be used as a plate. When being used as a side table it is a little slippery so I'll put a buff or a small micro towel on it to keep my cup from sliding if I don't have the table level. My DIY version cost ~ $7 in parts from Walmart. The cutting board slides into my pack along my back and the crossbow shaft fits nicely next to the internal frame of my pack.

    • @Doc_Watson
      @Doc_Watson Год назад

      @@jamesbrougher6062 no. I screw the bolt and washer into the shaft. That way, the cutting board remains flat to go into my pack and I can still use it as a cutting board for meal prep if I needed to.

    To follow Squidly's lead:
    1. If someone gave me this, I may use it on shorter backpacking trips
    2. It's like a scooter. Fun to ride, but you don't want to get caught on one
    3. See #1
    4. Amazon is the DEBIL
    5. Would be nice not to have your coffee cup on the ground
    6. I'd set it up and immediately knock it over spilling my coffee back on the ground
