thankyou you have probably just saved my Granddaughter a small fortune ....or should i say me .Shes having a quiet lockdown wedding and its all very DIY.but this will be the icing on the cake
Loved this gentleman’s system. This is the way I used to make my daughter’s bouquet this past weekend. It came out beautifully. Thank you for the help - it was my first bouquet and is made with live flowers. I’d love to add a photo but not sure how.
Yolanda Long thank you for the great feedback. I don’t think you can add a photo here - but we would love to it, so you could post on our Facebook page or email or messenger us. 😀 🌼
Thank you very much for your helpful tips in making and binding bridal bouquets. I was able to help my daughter in finishing of her bridal bouquet last week. It came out beautifully. Many thanks.
Keeping the bouquet in water. Using of double sided tape, arranging the flowers in a spiral way ( that was taken from a different vedio) All these tips were very helpful. God has blessed you to be a blessing to orthers.
Thank you John!! You are such an inspiration. I always watch your videos. You had helped me a lot to keep my clients happy. I do appreciate your hard work.
Good morning John and Janis. What a brilliant tip using the double sided tape. I wish I’d known about this years ago! Thank you so much, this going to save me lots of time in the future. I love popping with my morning cuppa. You’re my very own refresher course you know, have a lovely day xx
Thank you! I tended to use a flower box lid upside down, with scrunched tissue inside to hold the flowers. You can wrap the box for the finish you want, and then even cover with cellophane for protection and to reduce transpiration. 😀🙋🏼♂️
Generally I would suggest keeping to whites, creams and greens and avoid the strong colours - and an aqua pack or vase saves the recipient from any work. 🌼🙋🏼♂️
I would make a bridal bouquet either on the day or the afternoon before - this is nice and fresh then. But after it is used they tend to of served their purpose and will have been out of water for nearly a whole day, so then they might last or get discarded. It depends if someone can recut them and place in water. If you make it earlier than that the materials do grow a little so then it loses it fresh made look.
I prefer to make the bridal bouquet of the day of the wedding or the afternoon before - the stems grow and the flowers change, so if it is make too far in advance then it looks nice when you make it but it will change in a couple of days time. 🌼🙋🏼♂️
Awesome! Thanks so much, this was such a good tutorial and so helpful. I love the 2nd way with the bow - I hope my own wedding bouquet will turn out just as nice! 😊
If you keep your bouquet in water until the last minute, how do you dry it off before wrapping it since you said to make sure your hands are dry. Thank you for this video!!!
Christie C just give it a little shake then dry with a tea towel or hand towel. Then you can finish off the stems with dry hands 😀 thanks for commenting 🙋🏼♂️
Hi! Thank you for your video. I am doing my own flowers for my wedding and I ordered some of the same leafs you used in the last portion of this video. You mentioned that you used "decor" wire. I want to use exactly what you did for this video. Would you give more detail on what kind of wire I am to search for. Also, what other tool may I use to shave off the bottom of the leaf? God Bless!
Hi there. The wire is 0.5 mm - sometimes you get it on a reel or it can come on a wooden square stick - it’s the sane wire really 😀 you should find it on hobbycraft or at wholesalers. For cutting wires it’s best to use wire cutters - and for cutting stems just use good garden secateurs to cut the fresh stems 😀🙋🏼♂️ Good luck with making your own flowers - it can be very rewarding but good to do a practise run. 😀🙋🏼♂️🌼

John

excellent tutorial!
where do you get the decor wire?
allisgoodallisbad thank you! You will find wire like this at hobby stores no problem - but any florist wholesaler, or florists are also good! 🙋🏼♂️🌼

Thank you 😊 🌼
What width of ribbon did you use?
M Kraan I think this was one inch wide or 15mm. But you can use which one you like. A wider ribbon is easier as it overlaps better. 😀
So sweet
Very nice and simple keep teaching it helps thanks
