Morgan Short thank you! As I say to everyone - practise! The. You can see how it goes. But why not? It is great fun, makes it very personal and if you keep an open mind that helps ( just in case you have to adapt or change something ) . Thank you for watching! 🙋🏼♂️😀🌼🌼🌼
What a brilliant yet simple video, I'm going to give this a go today! I'll be doing my own bridal bouquet shortly, how long in advance can I make it? Could I make it day before and stand it in water over night?
Thank you! 😊 yes, you can make the day before is fine - if so I would leave the stems longer a little, then cut to the correct length and bind the bouquet on the day.
Hello I am from Brazil and I follow your channel thank you every beautiful video you teach us, I learned many things, I would like to see a tutorial on the various types of bridal bouquets, here in Brazil is used a lot of ball, waterfall, cup, etc. . I look forward to your videos, congratulations for the beautiful work and for teaching me your art!
neila freire hello to you and to Brazil! Thank you for your lovely comments and for watching. Yes, that’s a good idea to look at the different styles all at once - we shall add that to our list of videos! Enjoy your flowers - I hope you are creating something for you 😀🙋🏼♂️🌼🌼🌼🌼
I notice little things you doing that I remember I was taught. You may not realize it, but you are glancing sideways at the shape of the bouquet. Making sure that the flowers are all even in height, with not one being a bit too long. Then when you do the final check, you only have to adjust a few. I was taught that years ago in the shop. I wish gypsophila would came back into style it's so dainty and cute.
Essentially it is out of water for the day - it’s only needed for the day, so the flowers need to be good quality, well conditioned ( have had a big drink ) kept in water if possible till delivery, stored in a cool place, misted and boxed so it’s protected and not dehydrating. Then that’s all you can do!
Annie T greetings to Columbia ! The two main ways to tie the two are using the same flowers and colours. Next is the style - so following the bouquet style will create a stronger tie - but they don’t have to match exactly. The bride could have compact style bouquets and the table designs can be more natural. You will get a feel from the bride as well as to her interest in this - most are quite open to your suggestion and style , so that also helps. I think if the first two are the same then you are good as a basic rule 😀🙋🏼♂️
Hi, thank you so much for this really helpful video, I shall be making this as my bridal bouquet, so shall be watching closely, please can you tell me the size of the pins you use?
I’m not quite sure what you mean, but just work methodically - you don’t need to cram them together , just let them sit side by side - and keep the spiral consistent and the neck all at the same level ( it’s easy to have a bit of a muddled neck - if stems higher and lower ) . For cutting, just cut straight across - you can bring the stems together when you tie! I hope that helps 🙂🌻🌼
Hello! If it’s the stem then it is probably cheaper roses with soft stems, though that may be a weakness due to them being produced outside their natural season. Also, you need the stems to lie beside each other very neatly - if the tying point is not consistent then stems will break when it is tied - so they really support each other when side by side in the angle. If it’s the heads then they might if had water into the centre - so drop petals, or if the whole head then again it is weak flowers, quality. My suggestion, - relax , go slow, be consistent in placing, be gentle. With practise it gets better and better 😀🙋🏼♂️
John, I just discovered your channel. Love it btw. I'd like to make my own bouquet for my vow renewal. Can you please provide a direct link for the double sided tape?? I want exactly what you used. PLEASE 🤗😔

Love your accent btw. Thank you from my heart for the reply, it means so much to us trying to learn. With love from NJ, USA

Loving watching your videos. I've been asked to make a handtied bouquet. When you pin the lace and ribbon do you push the pin in then push it up or down so bride doesn't get pricked by the pin please x
Thank you so much 😊 glad you have found us! It would be really hard to do that - we are based in Scotland so not au- fait with US pricing. Pricing is very open to so many elements it’s hard to give a cost for anywhere. The best advice is check out the local pricing, and cost it out with a method that gives you what you need to have, including Labour and profit. Hope that helps 🌼🙋🏼♂️

I did stop today at a flower shop and it was quite sad no business like they have a few plants and a few yellow roses and that make me think 🤔 not every flower shop is successful and what is the key to have a successful flower shop can you tell me from your own experience?
Skyblue3000 M people open shops because they love flowers, they love working with flowers, creating designs. What they don’t look into is selling flowers. So is there a market? There could be too many shops already, or the customer base isn’t affluent or value flowers in their purchases. People need to ask those questions - before they open. They need to ask can this give me and any staff a good living. If not then it’s going to a long painful lesson. So, who are the customers, how many are there, do they want you as a florist - why you and not another shop, and will they pay. That was a good question 🙋🏼♂️❤️

Great tip ever is when you tell people to have all the flowers prepared. So much easier when doing hand ties.
