- How to make a bridal bouquet with 12 roses. DIY bridesmaids bouquet. Step by step tutorial for creating a perfect dozen roses bridal bouquet. Many of my friends and other florist always ask me if I have some kind of pattern or scheme to arrange my perfect dozen roses bridal bouquet. And yes, I do have simple trick, that I noticed long time ago and always use when making bridal or bridesmaids bouquet. Generally speaking it is not easy to assemble dozen roses together in perfect round shape bouquet if you do not know how to do it right. You just have to pay attention to details, because roses are not the same. Some roses have bigger and more solid heads and some have smaller and softer. By separating roses by size I can simply play with them when creating the bouquet. Watch this video to learn my scheme and my technique. I hope my professional experience will be helpful.

Israeli ruscus

I did my own hand tied bouquet back in 2014. I used 20 roses (10 pink and 10 cream) and added some gypsophilia sprigs here and there. I left some of the foliage on the roses at the top to give it a bit of greenery. Cost £6.50 and took 10 minutes to put together. Florist prices started at £50.

@@jessicasolis3760 I used 24 white roses and wrapped the stems in lace with a pearl pin. It turned out beautiful. I suggest having someone be there to hold the bouquet as you are assembling the roses--then wrapping it. Congratulations and good luck. I did all white roses--had no greens in my roses, just wanted all white and I was very pleased.

Beautiful! I'm assuming you could keep them soaked up to the ribbon for a few days until the wedding day? How many days tho? In refrigeration right?

Can I ask how do you keep them fresh after actually finishing the bouquet?
As soon as you cut all stems place into a glass of cold water with preservative powder just a sprinkle if you have any. NEVER put into warm water as this makes the flowers, especially Roses and Tulips bloom alot quicker. Keep in the refrigerator til using the boquet

You can prepare it 2-3 days before the wedding and store it in the fridge in the vase with small amount of water

How do you keep the flowers wet?
Put the bottom parts of stems in the sponge and keep it in the fridge overnight.
Just tried this, but it is harder than it looks. Maybe I’m not a Martha Stewart person either. 😂 mine does not look like this, the hardest part is the stems. When I go to tape the bouquet together. My bouquet shifts and looks more flat. It does not have this circular look. Hmmmm, I don’t think this is my calling 😂
It takes practise, but also, notice how she places the stems on a bit of an angle, to the left or to the right? This will help them stay in place and sit nicer.
I used to work at a florist, and the florist taught me this :)
