The most helpful bouquet tutorial I’ve seen! Just got tossed into a crazy wedding season with little experience in wedding design. Happily working through it but always wanting to better for my brides. Thanks for this!
Thank you much for this vidéo! As a flower farmer, it's the first time I have real pleasure making bouquets using your technique. My bouquets looks so more lush and full too!! Thanks again!
Thank you for sharing this. I was finally able to get this technique down with your explanation. I made a beautiful bouquet that I’m so proud of. Thank you❤.
This really makes my heart sing!! So glad I could help and so happy you were able to create something that you're proud of! Keep practicing and it'll become second nature. Best of luck- Elycia
I was somewhat trying this technique today from what I remembered seeing someone else do, and definitely need more practice with how to hold it. I'd lay stems at an angle, but then struggle to turn it without losing the spiral. Is the placement of the very first 3-4 stems the secret key? I will have to try again, using your hand position for those initial stems. Thank you for the video. Very beautiful.
Thank you! Try buying 30-40 stems of something easy like all mums or all roses and practice. Make sure your laying all of the stems in the same direction (either twards your body or away from your body). I do think it's more muscle memory than anything- keep practicing😉
Thank you Lisa! This technique can definitely be used to create a cascade bouquet. When choosing your flowers and greenery make sure to have at least 3 varieties that naturally cascade or have really long flexible stems. Decide where the back of your bouquet will be so that you can create your design with shorter stems in the back and cascading stems in the front or at the sides. If you're wanting a large cascade you may need to wire stems to create the length desired. Hope this helps! If you need some one on one feel free to reach out via my website. Thanks!
I learned this technique making grave placements by the hundreds for Mother's Day and Easter as our shop was right across the street from a Catholic cemetery.
If you are right handed and keep your bouquet in your left hand, you can have more room and air to your bouquet when you do your spiral other way round. Instead of sticking flowers towards yourself, tap your shoulder and then put it on LEFT SIDE of your bouquet instead of right side. 👍🏻🙂
I'm in an online Basics of Floral Design course, and it's being a bit hard, because of it being online, and because our teacher is not the best at teaching. He's a professional florist, he obviously knows a lot, and he means well, but just doesn't really know how to teach. I've been tasked to design and sketch a bouquet using this spiral technique. I'm honestly not too sure how to start. This video kinda helped me get an idea, though. How do you know what flowers to place each twist? Thank you
Hello- glad you found my video helpful! It's important to create balance. Think of your bouquets as having different sides, if you place a certain flower, texture, or color to one side you should balance it on the opposite side. I usually save the greenery and line flowers for the outside of the bouquet, but not always. Try to work in odd numbers and create dimension by not placing everything at the same height. Try not to overthink it and don't be afraid to get wild! Hope this helps and feel free to get in touch if you need more help. Best Wishes, Elycia

Do you also use greenery as well while doing this?
Yes absolutely, you can incorporate what ever floral or foliage you choose. Just make sure to prep you stems before you start designing.
Si mi vestido es estilo csmpurano😍👰me gustaría este estilo de espiral y de flor 😍💐
Good video

For the slow learners in the back… when you did the groupings the video edit skipped right over you actually showing it…. (Echinacea)
