Víkingur Ólafsson is much sought-after by international conductors, orchestras and artists as both a chamber and concert musician. Possessing a rare combination of passionate musicality, explosive virtuosity and intellectual curiosity, the Icelandic pianist has won all the major prizes in his native country, including four Musician of the Year prizes at the Icelandic Music Awards as well as The Icelandic Optimism Prize. Besides his growing career as a traditional concert pianist, Ólafsson has also collaborated with a range of contemporary composers and artists like Philip Glass, Olafur Arnalds, and Björk.

May I recommend that you check out Fleurette Africaine (African Flower) from Duke Ellington - 1962, the Money Jungle album with Charles Mingus and Max Roach. Not the same but a close cousin that fits so well with this.
