Reading this book right now. Several years ago I was big into WW and I ate spinach salad every day. Also oatmeal , handfuls of nuts, berries, barely any meat at all. I had the most severe eczema of my life. I had to get steroid shots. I quit WW eventually and started eating more meat and less veggies and I feel so much better.

Super good interview! I've been following Sally for 4 1/2yrs...when I went Carnivore at age 65. I about died when I was introduced to a video of hers. My life has been forever changed. Three yrs into the Carnivore way of eating, my allergies of 48yrs disappeared...and I've seen sooo many other benefits. I now know my allergies were caused by oxalates storing in my lungs. Had a wicked oxalate dumping weekend about a month later, but once on the other side, it was beautiful. I've learned to keep 100% organic lemon juice cubes in my freezer that are easier to keep on hand than fresh lemons. Once I learned lemons dissolve oxalates, it's made it easier to catch it right away.
Although I do have her book, with tons of highlights, writings, and colored tabs marking all the charts, I learn something new from every one of her more recent interviews, like I did with this one. You have a new follower.😊

Do you buy the organic lemon juice in a bottle,? What brand? I'm finding juicing lemons daily is tedious but do what I have to do of course to get better.

    • @audreygregis8721

@@jeljel4037 Yes, ma'am, I do! The organic brands are always in glass bottles, at least, I only buy what is in a glass bottle. It might be Lakewood. I usually have an extra bottle in my pantry, but right now I already have 2 freezer qt bags of lemon cubes in my freezer right now. Lemon juice is on my grocery list this week to have it on hand. I just buy organic lemon juice, glass bottle, depends on which brand is the least expensive. Works perfectly! Because, yes, squeezing lemons is tedious...and so many times a lemon or two goes bad before I used them.

You know those people in your life that are always saying how great they are at this and that, but end up being pretty crappy at those things?
Well, there's a lot of that going on in our foods. If something is hailed as a 'Superfood', you're better off just avoiding it.

Excellent interview. I was having a lot of joint pain, especially around the knees, and some skin issues when going carnivore. Prior to I ate a lot of salads from a premix at Kroger’s called “Baby Spring Mix”. Loaded with spinach and probably some of those other greens that Sally mentioned.

Ugh, I feel like an idiot. I just mentioned Sally Norton in a comment on your video. I had a oxalate dump today in church, I stood up and almost felt like passing out. I took a few deep breaths and it passed, but it is a good sign of oxalate passing out of me. Thank you for posting this. Keep up the good video's.

I started carnivore way of eating in January. In May I really wanted tuna salad so I put a little diced onion in it. No problem. The following week I wanted more tuna so I diced half an onion in it and I had a mild headache. Week after that, I ate tuna on slice of onion and boom a big ole headache ensued. So I learned not to eat onion like that!

This was so interesting and helpful!! Thanks Jen. Im definitely buying that book! Her story about the kiwi reminded me of Dr. Anthony Chaffee's declaration that plants are trying to kill us😂🥝🌱 Oxalate dumping is real‼️ I experienced skin issues and it was painful. Now I understand it better. Thanks again🥰

Brilliant interview Jen! Love Sally. Her book is in my queue to read because I definitely overdosed on oxalalates. (As we say in New York; ‘don’t get me started!’) All those symptoms she describes.. I have had them as I’ve transitioned to Ketovore. I do use 90% dark Chocolate as medicine 😮

I’m new to oxalate toxicity. Been lower oxalate for a month plus no added sugar and very low carb. Carefully lowering to minimize the dumping. Scary stuff.
