Kind of cool they met him way back when they wanted to explore his mountain top castle. Now he's part of the gang. Crazy how your life can change just by chance encounters.
Anyone in the PNW? I-90 in North Bend, WA area needs a recovery team for abandoned vehicles that the FS says can't be removed! I know of 2 near Stampede Pass... Sad the FS hasn't the funding. Keep inspiring others to do off road recoveries! You guys rock! Keep America Beautiful!
As someone who grew up in those hills and even tried to use cleaning up the cars there as an Eagle project way back in the 80's (the logistics back then were impossible), thank you. I love those hills and have fond memories all over them.
Like others below, i also want to say what a great guy Alan is. you mention "hard work", Alan's hand goes straight up.! No matter how hot, or how cold, or how hard the job is, he never complains. Alan is as valuable to Heavy D as all the machinery he owns.
Harry Smith here reaching out from West Virginia. I am in the Paving and Sealcoating business completely different from what you do. I have a passion for junk and I love equipment. I love fabricating and welding I’m not the greatest welder but I am self taught. I’ve just recently starting watching your videos and I did subscribe to your channell. Just from watching your videos, I can tell that you’ve gotten to where you are in life from a lot of hard work. I can tell you’re a man that had a dream and a vision and you kept plunging till you got to where you are today you are truly an inspiration. Man, I would really love to that truck you’re giving away, but I already know my luck ain’t that great but God bless you, man.

10:00 it always amazes me that winches can pull a whole car through a bunch of trees, that's some serious torque on the winch 12:19 love how the door pops open as it gets to the top. "It'll buff out, hop in!"
Hans and the Wizard always worth looking and always impressed of what vehicles are used to knock over those trees. Some strong points on those vehicles to get them up the cliff. Amazing job as always with the tools you bring. Well done guys. Epic video as always.
I hope the wizard can see the future. His obsession with standing near or next to a cable line makes me nervous for him every time I see him do it. Guy is extremely smart so I know he knows what he’s doing. Just seeing the videos makes it seem crazy.
I agree with changing out the 1 inch wire rope for 3/4 inch. The breaking strength of 3/4 is about 47000 to 58000 pounds, so it will still have plenty of safety margin. It will also be much easier to drag down a slope. This was a great video to show the capability of the equipment.
No hands is legit. I’ve always liked him. He’s very smart and definitely cracks me up with his content. Don’t know why anybody have issues with him. All these guys makes the dream work. Alan is a star player as well. But there’s guys behind the scenes too. It’s fun to watch all these guys work so well together.
I live in Michigan, bought some property (3.7 acres) in Baldwin, MI, when my mother passed away from Covid-19 in 2021. Don't have a driver's license. Sure could use a 4x4 vehicle to plow snow, cut grass and maybe drive some trails. Y'all should come to ' Blessing of the Bikes ' in the spring. Stay on my property. 😊
Heavy, I love to do a recovery with you! It is what I used to do! Being home-bound disabled, I lost my life! I am so lost, my life is not what it used to be. Even though this recovery is on land, what I used to do was in water... same concept. And many of my recoveries were of bodies in water, it still similar and closure for families.
I’m extremely impressed with that skid steer. I’ve been impatiently waiting since you built it. The last couple videos of you using it was well worth the wait.
@@HeavyDSparks I know you have talked about it in other videos but you should do another video talking about the Mintaur 550 because people still think it is just another big skid steer when it is so much more, its a small bull dozer.
That machine with the winch is a real beast. Very strong winch and very strong frontloader too. Makes my old David Brown tractor with a 2000 lbs winch and 1000 lbs strong frontloader to look like a toy he he. Take care, and stay safe. Greetings from Norway 😊
Bummer, can't enter sweepstakes on-line without purchase. Sorry, I'm behind in rent & bills, so can't afford to purchase anything. Old & poor is not a good combo, but love your vlogs! ❤
I admire the work you boys put in! Love the videos as myself I take a lil boat down my local river and scrap the metal they dumped a long time ago. I scrap about 2-3 cars in weight every week, just my hands and a lil 14 ft aluminum boat and a truck. I lack the equipment but not heart and hard work💪
Glad to see you guys' capabilities expand like this. I remember when this kind of recovery would have been an all day ordeal for your guys. Having the right tools makes it go so much faster.
Even if you don't have a use for that truck, you would be dumb not to take it anyway and sell it probably for about $200,000 but if you want to take the $50,000 cash payout instead then sure because that makes sense.
it is actually a bull dozer. Look at some other videos on the case minotaur 550. It is built to look like a skid steer but it is much more, its a bull dozer and its a hoss!!
Man I’m a trucker and I would love that setup. But my lungs are failing. Good luck all I’m still entering. Surprised the County hasn’t put in a rail barrier yet on that curve.

I'm so glad they added Allan to the crew I know he's been here a while now but honestly he's part of the reason I watch He's just a decent guy with a lot knowledge. Don't get me wrong you guys are all awesome in your own way.
Hey, first of all great video, sad to see how many people head off there. Do you know the TV Show Airwolf? I thought you would be the guy to have such a helicopter (great addition to the blackhawk)
I pass the shop on my commute to and from work. Alan was out front moving something around on a trailer and my inner self had to fight my belief that people should be left alone and not bothered vs wanting to tell Alan he is the GOAT. I left him alone but he is the GOAT.
Great job, guys!! That would have been an almost impossible recovery for most people. Thanks to your super heavy duty equipment it seemed like it was nothing. Looked like the hardest part was for the guys to hike back up the hill!!
This is a better video than those storage unit and treasure hunting videos, it’s on brand and makes sense. Some of that other stuff should just be b roll filler side quests
That winch box and truck are awesome. I’d love to have that truck in a regular cab setup! Hopefully the smaller cable will make it easier and allow you to put more cable on the spool.
