- Just a short clip of me a couple of weeks ago driving this stunning Mack R700 truck. She sounds lovely with her v8 Detroit diesel. She is fitted with a 13 speed road ranger.
The legend that is Geoff Makinson owned and restored that truck before it went to Colin. It’s on my bucket list to see it in person and have a ride in it. Lovely thing
My father had the same Mack it was a 1970 light blue RS700L with 318 Detroit 13 speed Roadranger. Thanks for bringing back the memories!
Great truck I’ve seen it a few times in The Netherlands when it was from Geoff 👍🏻👌🏻👌🏻😃😃🤩
Beautifully restored rig
Detroit sounds great.
Very nice 🙂👍
Just needs a can on back and a jaguar hauling ass.
👍🙂
This would be the only video of the camera inside a Detroit powered Mack. Awesome. Can you please do a pan around the outside of the truck and engine bay? What ratio diffs etc. Should be Mack.
Thank you. I will this year try to get back and get more content of the Mack. I am unsure of the ratio but I would think it’s around 4.8?
@@Mr_b_yorkshire_farmerThanks Mack's had ratios of 4.17, 4.64,,5.02 So they would've had one that slotted in between the latter. Looking forward to the next clip.
Would've preferred the camera had been outside so we could see the truck!!!
Sorry mate, I dont like sound of Detroit....
You obviously have never drove a real truck before feel sorry for the transmission
Is that so? Why is that ?
What you on about? There wasn't any crunching no stabbing it in was well driven I think.
He did very well on a truck which I doubt he was used to.
I don't know why some people insist or prefer shifting with the clutch. Seems like so much extra work to do the same job and really more of a distraction than anything else.
