Meh. I disagree that this show is highly entertaining. The female characters are written with major flaws. Kind of tanks the show. It is a soap opera instead of a drama about oil drilling. I hope it ends so I’m not tempted to hate watch next season.

I don't think Monty died, I think the phone call from Kami just informed Tommy that Monty probably had another heart attack and he was in a coma. It's too soon for Monty's character to be killed off in my opinion - although the symbolism of the coyote and the socked feet were thought provoking. Great show, wife and I really enjoy it. There'll be a season two due to the major interest in this series.
In the description of Ep. 9 they call it a "health scare", so I agree with you, too soon to kill off the character. And Cami is an active role in the description for Ep. 10, so I don't think it's as simple and Cami and Monty go off on a vacation to relax and recover.
I doubt Monty is dead but I do find it hilarious Demi Moore is featured in so much of the pre series advertising and giving the audience the impression she is a major part of show. Last couple of episodes we've seen a little more of her. Reason I'm saying this, I expect she's going to be taking a much larger role in the coming episodes / season 2.
Demi Moore will be more involved in S2. She’s now a Golden Globe Winner, you can’t not use an actress like that if you have her in a show like this. My theory is that Cami will eventually take over the company and rule it alongside Tommy but also be Switzerland with both Tommy and Rebecca, who seems to be going to be a villain moving forward.

After the lecture from Jerry Jones and Cooper making strides in the oil business, that seems like where the story is headed. I also think Nate will go with them, he seemed to have a lot of respect for Cooper after the settlement negotiation and he admitted he didn't have anything to do at Monty's company since Rebeca was made VP.
I think a lot has to do what is going on in her real life. Her family is dealing with Bruce Willis's illness. As a mother, she wants to be with her daughters during this difficult time of their lives.
I sense there will be a season 2. What plays out is that Cami moves up and takes over. I think that Cooper's gamble starts paying off and he acquires more leases. Eventually Tommy and Cooper go head to head as competitors in season 2
Tommy will move into the presidential position, Montie dies Tommy gets monties wife, cooper becomes an overnight millionaire Angela and the petroleum engineer hook up and the daughter becomes a stripper at the nightclub. 😂😂😂
You may be right. Taylor didn't have Jerry Joes say what he said for nothing. I think Tommy heeds the advise from Jerry and goes into business with Cooper.
I loved the Mexican wolf at the end. Lobos wolves used to frequent the Wolfcamp Shale area. The last Mexican wolf in Texas was killed in 1970. So I have to assume it was a ghost.

This episode had me getting choked up in the first 15 minutes with Jerry’s pep talk. 💦 I’m so happy Ariana and Cooper got together, I know a lot of people hate them but I’m so happy (although the season isn’t over yet, anything could happen). And yeah, Ainsley and Angela were annoying. It seemed like they were having an arc especially after Ainsley’s date with Ryder but the whole hooking up in her room with the parents home was gross!
The fact that she didn't properly morn her husband who so far has been portrayed as a pretty good guy. I understand that the show gave hints that she wasn't truly happen with him, but to move on with another man in his home is so disrespectful and disgusting. To me it only shows that some people love conditionally

Stop holding up labels to be read by little kids about which beer they should go out and fake buy. There will definitely be a Season 2 given that Yellowstone ended last year. I will not be interested in The Rip and Beth Show even tho they seem to be good characters. I kept thinking that the Cartel would kidnap Ainsley at least, but I bet they are saving that as the cliff hanger for the end of Season 1. What I really don't get is why the Cartel has to have their drug exchange in the middle of nowhere. If that truck with the tires got past the border, why not just drive it into a warehouse where they can take the drugs out with no outside interference. You'd think that Cartel leaders could figure that out. Overall, I thot it was a good episode with the action in most. Didn't see Rebecca and hopefully, she gives up her bruised ego and does what's best for the biz; which means no drama.
Did Monty really die? To me it’s a cliff hanger. Yes we see him having a heart attack. No you did see him actually die. You heard his wife call Tommy. There was Nothing said that he died. Tommy asked if there was anything he could do. Keep me informed? Monty is too much of a main character to be offed this early.

There will definitely be a Season 2 given that Yellowstone ended last year. I will not be interested in The Rip and Beth Show even tho they seem to be good characters. I kept thinking that the Cartel would kidnap Ainsley at least, but I bet they are saving that as the cliff hanger for the end of Season 1. What I really don't get is why the Cartel has to have their drug exchange in the middle of nowhere. If that truck with the tires got past the border, why not just drive it into a warehouse where they can take the drugs out with no outside interference. You'd think that Cartel leaders could figure that out. Overall, I thot it was a good episode with the action in most. Didn't see Rebecca and hopefully, she gives up her bruised ego and does what's best for the biz; which means no drama.

Cause she is heading that wash 15…. I think Billy Bob plays a great part and if you ever have been around the Patch , you would know it’s a hard job
I feel like that when Tommy sees the wolf it gives him the same idea that cooper has about wolf camp .. assuming that Monty is dead and that Tommy is gonna take over the business, Tommy and cooper are gonna come together and work on the wolf camp idea.
