After watching one of your earlier videos, I added the Rvlock to my door. We love it. We like that when we have family with us, we can just give them the code and not worry about a key for them. I also replaced some of the baggage door locks with the RV locks, but they do not make a replacement for my slam locks. Hopefully, they will come out with a compatible model in the future. Keep up the great videos!

Did you have to deepen the mortise for the strike plate? It seems like the strike plates that come with these locks are deeper and protrude up from the door frame. While it makes the lock harder to pick, I have concerns about water getting under the strike plate. Added Butly tape and silicone caulk to see if that will help.

Jared- As everyone has told you the your videos are very informative and thorough. Have had the RV lock to the front door and now am doing what you did. Knowing you have a Reflection as I do (337RLS). So installing the locks while I’m on the road I ran into a few little hiccups and am posting what I had to do to get them to work. First off the screws they send are way to short. Seeing they were #6 size screws went to HD and and bought 1”, 1.25” and finally 1.5”. 1.5” worked because the other sizes were not big enough and slide rot into the hole. Why a 1.5” was big enough I have no idea. Secondly I asked RVLock if I needed the vinyl stickers that go on before the locks and they assured me these locks would cover the opening so I did not buy any. I have holes showing on all 3 handles. Don’t know if this has happened to you, but just wanted to alert the people out there. I would still go with RVLock though because in 3 years I have never had a problem with the one on the front door. And as my son always says to me when we’re working on something, “Dad what would Jared do?”

Our Montana has Global door and slam latches so I ordered new cylinders (6 total) with a key code of my choice and 2 cam locks for the front storage compartments for less than what one keyless lock would have cost and all with the same key. It only took about 15 minutes to swap out 6 cylinders and 2 cam locks and all for under a hundred dollars. 1 key for everything

I just did the exact same thing 2 weeks ago. It is nice to have them all keyed alike. I did have one minor issue with the key latch lock though, it was to short for the door I wanted to put it on so I shaved a little bit of the black sleeve that holds it straight in the door. It only took about 1/32 " to get it to fit and it works great now.

I purchased a front door digital lock from RV Locks and loved it. Consequently, I bought baggage door locks from RV Locks as well. Unfortunately, these locks are plastic and failed on the first try. It wouldn't open, and I had to pull hard enough to break the plastic lock. They were kind enough to let me ship them back and refunded my money. I found a company that enables you to pick the lock number to match your front door. The company is RV Locks and More. The baggage door locks are the original South Co all-metal locks with replaced locks to your selected key number. These are direct replacements and work flawlessly. RV locks will work for some folks, but they didn't work for me. RV Locks and More are all metal locks and were a better choice for me.

The RV lock for the Door is a no-brainer (in my opinion). We got one of these when we first bought our RV. I have been TEMPTED to get the baggage locks, but to get them for all the baggage doors (including the front door), it just becomes SO expensive. It was much easier to justify the cost for ONE door lock for the main door. But to get SIX of them (or even three digital and three manual) is just too much. RV Lock does have a decent sale on Memorial Day and I think Black Friday (about 30-40% off) which makes it less prohibitive...but still. Great video though, thanks.
