Easter Rally 2023, Kirkby Stephen Road Run 08/04/23

The Annual Cumbria Easter Rally took place in and around Kirkby Stephen, Brough and the surrounding area this weekend with the usual Saturday early evening road run, footage of the run caught near Great Asby followed by stills of the individual vehicles, thanks for watching.

It's a Duple body and probably mounted on a Bedford J2 chassis.

I can now confirm that KLP 1D is a Duple B19F bodied Bedford J2 fitted with a 214 cu in / 3.5 litre petrol engine. New in 1966 but not registered with the DVLA until 1985, so probably a former military bus. I was responsible for one of these when I worked for the DoE. Stylish exterior but very basic interior. The ride was extremely hard because of being mounted on a lorry chassis.

Could you go back to the 30's on the WCML, and catch a few streamlined Coronations, and perhaps Turbomotive, or even Lizzie on her record run?
