Which do you prefer?
Idiot Savant has a 100% chance to occur when handing in quests because...save scum ming 😂
@@weeruz8706no science perk for you fool!
So...My INT 11+ build (10+bobble head+gear) with Idiot Savant 2 would like to chime in with MAXIMUM PROGRESSION. Sounds wonky, but I skipped level 14 entirely because IS hit on a main quest and I HURR HURR HURR'ed my way from level 13 to 15.
I'd go for idiot savant if fallout 4 had low intel speech options
No matter how high you crank your intelligence it'll never be as good as getting 5 quests of experience for a price of one quest, and even with high int builds it's worth it because if it triggers on a quest just a couple of times it'll already pays for itself back in exp. It makes low int builds viable and very easy to level thru normal gameplay and opens up a lot of special points for different interesting builds. In short, everything just works, both low and high int :P
Did the last institute quest idiot savant went off gained 3 levels lol
Yep thats how gambling works it will activate sometimes but how many quests did you do and it never went off?
@CamwayGaming oddly when I was low int not often but at higher lvl int seems to happen 40ish percent of time
Neither have much leverage aside from the perk tree. I don't put any points into them and still level fine unless you want to exploit savant with massive crafting statues or shelves.
I think intelligence is better because you can get a high intelligence using clothes and the you're special glitch, i think the highest you can get is 15 or 17 intelligence which would probably be better, plus instead of waiting to spec into everything else, you can spec into intelligence perks which are really good and necessary for most builds
Ya and with the low proc rate of savant Int is just better for playing the game normally
Idiot Savant rank 3 is necessary to take full advantage of farming XP from Gunner Cages, so if you are doing that or just want to max out your character it's definitely worth it. As for the testing in this video, you would need multiple trials to get a closer statistical average so the results here don't really matter all that much unfortunately
?? Idiot savant if you have 1 int procs only 11% of the time. Rank 3 is something like level 34 to get and doesn't work on quests.
The statistics are clear for each point into Int you reduce the chance of savant activating by 1%
The chances of it activating when turning in a quest extremely low
And I re ran this mission with savant 4 times and never made it to level 16.
@@CamwayGaming The first half of your statement is 100% correct, but the 2nd half is anecdotal and not applicable to everyone. I had good success with Idiot Savant triggering on quests and if it happens once it's definitely worth it. It is good to make a distinction between the 2nd and 3rd ranks of the perk, however. I find the 3rd rank is really only worth it if I'm farming cages from Wasteland Workshop but otherwise I stop at rank 2
well, INT of course because you have to take into account how much XP the INT perks make for you ... science, chemist, robotics expert ...
you can get exp through robotics expert?
I just feel like I’m getting cheated whenever idiots savant doesn’t happen when I hand in a quest
Intelligence is good for the early game, but rank 3 of Idiot Savant is broken for the late game. Since when it triggers it gives xp for every enemy killed, then in the late game when you're killing enemies like Withered Ghouls and Mutant Overlords its not uncommon to get 4 or 5 thousand xp just from clearing one area.
If it activates but it has to activate. And if it doesn't activate until almost everything is defeated then you missed out on a bunch of extra exp from int.
Savant is gambling with exp. When it procs it feels good but I have used a savant build for a playthrough and it usually procs at the worst times.
I always end up building, savant will level me up too much and ruin the playthrough.
ya once you hit level 40ish not much is a challenge can up the difficulty but meh that just makes enemies hit harder and take more to kill but its not all that exciting. Hopefully the next fallout makes the Ai smarter when you up the difficulty!
