Mass Effect 2 is a great game but looks a little bit dated. ALOT texture mod is a nice and subtle way to upgrade its visuals without destroying the atmosphere of Mass Effect 2 in any way. The improved 2K and 4K textures are based on the vanilla textures and fit perfectly in. For Mass Effect 2, CreeperLava collected and altered over 1200 textures to improve the game's visuals. Please realize: the ALOT-Installer also alters the .ini-File for better visuals, while I left it untouched in vanilla :)
For a 2010 game I still think ME2 looks great. The textures are outdated but the way Bioware presents the composition in scenes is something games in 2018 still struggle with.
I don't know why it stood out to me so much but actually Miranda doesn't have a dot on the right side of her chest, and more obviously Jacob's eyes are different colors. Some things are different for sure. Different materials and texture choices sometimes.
BioWare has to make a remake of this triology one day. Everybody who hasn't played Mass Effect doesn't know what he missed out on. Probably one of the most compelling stories ever released. I've played it at least ten times and still I could play it all over again.
@@Krisshomez Oh cmon! The ending was perfect! It ties-up well with the whole AI creation drama - that its inevitable and that somehow the conflict needs to be resolved - it was very logical, yet not easy to resolve just with 1x action, someone would have to suffer for it - that is a good & satisfying ending, like you've really fought for something meaningful. Simply said, the ending (or either of the endings) was grey, not just black or white, that's what I really liked about it
@@Hriskataaa Get ready for a long read lol. Imo me3 was just such a let down compared to the other two, the game itself was good, but when it's the final game in an incredible trilogy I expect it to be the best and most grande and it just wasn't. The writing was so juvenile compared to the other two, it felt like something a high school creative writing class would create. The graphics were HORRIBLE(my beautiful femshep was so hideous in me3), the romance felt so unsatisfactory, all the characters from me2 were discarded and used for an occasional mission or two. And the endings omg it was so stupid. The only ending imo is the "destroy" ending because it's the only logical choice, the fact that they made the green ending seem like the "correct" choice felt like a slap in the face, " oh we spent all these years trying to destroy the reapers but no, let's just 'hive mind' all the races together so the reapers wont kill anymore". I have a lot of feelings about me3 lol. I could go on all day about this but in short, me3 is a good game but it's the worst in the trilogy and just left me feeling unsatisfied.
To me the first game's gameplay was better, it had 50/50 action and RPG which makes for a more diverse experience. ME2 had better presentation and character development, but it could've been an even better game with a little more exploration focused missions and planetary exploration.
How can the gameplay be "the best by far" If the game heavily dumbed down its RPG elements, exploration and dialogue? the game is literally shooting 90% of the time and it's not even particularly good. They basically removed a good portion of the gameplay and turned it into a generic shooter.
There was nothing wrong with the RPG elements of the 1st game, they got ditched so EA could appeal to a larger audience. as a result ME 2 onwards are a lot more like generic 3rd person shooters.
Just started playing Mass Effect 2 as a complete noob to the series, knew nothing about it before I downloaded it a few days ago (steam sale lmao). Installing all the textures in this package, getting the DLC for dirt cheap, and playing a game from more than a decade ago is a great experience. It feels like my first time playing Fallout honestly. I just finished the first arc, and I'm straight up in love with the series
Looks like maybe an error in keeping consistency with ME3. The way that eyes (characters in general) were rendered in 3 made Jacob's eyes look grayer. But not that gray.
Since I actually do a lot of retro gaming, and stopped playing recent titles for lack of good recent hardware, the vanilla game still looks great to me. The modded version though ? Otherworldly good. Like looking into the future XD. Mass Effect 3 might be, outside of World of Warcraft's latest xpac, the most "recent" game i'm playing.
Zorastorm 32 then go turn on ur pc and play it... oh wait u don’t have one now you need to go find a Xbox 360 with shitty graphics in order to play it.
ALOT for ME1 was a Bit lackluster for me , but ME2 with Proper Anisotropic Filtering and Forcing an Antialiasing on the Game , It looks Good already , With ALOT , it changes the game to a whole new Level. 9 Gigs of Textures. That's almost Half of the Base Game Installation Including DLC.
It's nice that the shadows look like they get a big of an improvement, but with the improvements from this mod, the shadows become a bit more distracting. Oh, well.
Because you're focusing on the wrong things. Those polished touches where you have to pause and stare, are there 'just in case'. You'll barely notice those while playing, but when you do...it's nice they're gone. What you actually should focus on, are those changes like Tali's hood, armors, lighting etc...especially during pseudo-cutscenes dialogues, you notice them. A LOT. (Ba dum tsss).
Honestly I'm just surprised at how well this game holds up considering it's age. There was enormous difference in ME1 with MEUITM, but here while there is a difference, it's not as staggering.
Sean McClelland i say about GPU memory not RAM there is two version of GTX 1060 3gb or 6gb i think 3 should be fine with this mod if you have 6gb ITS even better
Wish I had this on pc but not spending what steam wants for it until sale. Too bad there isn't a gore mod or something, or add new powers or other tons of stuff. Sadly just only so much you can change.
Are you talking about the zip-file containing the ALOT-installer or the textures? Because you are actually not supposed to open the texture-zip. Just download the ALOT installer, run the exe-file and drag the zip-file into the installer-window.
Not worth to install in my opinion most of differences is in clothes and armors and only if you keep staring at them MEUITM and ALOT for ME1 was amazing but for ME2 a bit meh
Honestly, I don't see a big enough difference to bother with it. I'm used to the dramatic difference that Skyrim mods can make. This is just underwhelming. I'm spoiled by the Bethesda game modding community.
They might be using the "No Minigames" mod. Creeper (alot author) says on the mod page that for some reason it turns all the eyes blue if you have both of those mods on.
Mass effect 3. The best combat system of the triology. (Really bad ending, even with the DLC. I guess we expected too much and we got too little) Mass effect 2. Overall this one was THE BEST one. Mass effect 1. Meh combat system, still great game thanks to everything else. (Krogan Warlord boss fight still gives me nightmares). I have never played Andromeda and from what I've seen around, I never will.
Mass Effect 3 has a way better gameplay than both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. Though it didn't reach its full potential in the campaign the multiplayer is an absolute blast.
the only thing that can truly improve textures is the ps4 photo mode made exclusively for ps4 exclusives, that have a photo mode. pc mods are laughing stocks really the game looks the same modded or on modded

MCP/ChronicBuzz but they can play originals if they want
and just for giggles, add only the vanilla story missions & make people pay for each DLC separately all over again! ha!
Hopefully they'll fix the mess that is Mass Effect 3. Such a wasted ending.

my favorite in the series by far. It didn't have that hardcore rpg feel as the first game, but the gameplay was way better.
Tone Tech and Gaming I agree
The main storyline of ME2 felt too much like a filler to me

FUCKIN WHY

Mass effect 2 visuals still hold up to today's standards and this mod just pushes it even further. Such a masterpiece game. Me3 not so much.
True, I currently play a largely unmodded playthrough (only the installed ME2Controller mod) of this game. Though I use the MEUITM mod for ME1.
So now video description is fixed.
It is a really great mod pack. You should do a video for all three packs.
I will cover ME3 at least. Not sure about Mass Effect 1 because I already did a similar one based on MEUITM: ruclips.net/video/dvnTgC_iiH0/видео.html
Okay, I see. But I think in the ALOT Pack for 1 is a little more than just the MEUITM Files.
Mass Effect 2 is the best in the series originally and 4K or at least 1440p textures make it better along with PC mods.
Congrats, you discovered reshade
I’m currently playing it at 4K resolution in game beautiful don’t know what you talking about

This mod is kind of pointless, can't really notice a huge difference when playing unless you're pausing and staring and what you know is changed.

I agreed even on MEUITM for ME1I can clearly see hugh improvment such as Saren hes looks thousand times bad ass than vanilla

I hope they release a remaster version for the consoles, so we can forget about Andromeda.
Bioware definitley is not going to do that. Especially with EA lurking from the shadows..
Keeper Artemus yes really sad, man I hate EA they are snakes in suits !
MsUltraBob They rather make shitty Mass Effect games or continue Dragon Age.... gross.
Keeper Artemus that's the worst thing about it.
I loved Dragon Age and Mass Effect it just hurts to see what they do to you favorite franchises.
I wish they continue Baldurs Gate, Jade Empire and make a Kotor 3.
These texture mods seem to only be worth having for the first game, because the difference in the last two games are barely noticeable.

so it only effect the clothing, the rest of the game, is pretty much unchanged
nothing really suprising. The Gametextures are chunky and no Mod can save it. New developing/programming is needed
am i rigth? vanilla textures is a bassic texture that game has on begining?
Is it just me or does Legion look way better in ME2 than he does in ME3? Even with ALOT installed for both games
Everything looks better in ME2 than ME3 :)

I don't really find the differnce that big. It looks different, but better? Not sure
