I think HM hat numbers would equal the numer of days she has been Queen! The days she re wore a hat, compensated for the days where she had multiple events in one day on tours or state occasions. Seriously, The Palace should produce a book on her and her mothers, and her sisters hats and fashions, going back to the 1940's, the sale of the books would pay for the renovations of the palace alone! That said, someone needs to take the 1980's and 1990's fashions and pretend they never existed. ! Lovely video 🙂
Your videos are so watchable, Ilona, and I am learning so much. Thank you! I would appreciate having the hat image remain visible for the duration of your comments on it. I'm having to rewind to see the detail you're discussing. Yes, please, I'd love to see Her Majesty's derby hats!
Thank you for such a lovely review. If it is possible, I would love to see/hear your review of hats the late Queen wore to weddings - for her children, grandchildren and other family members. She has had so many beautiful hats thru the years.
Hello Joseph! Thank you so much - I am already working on another video about the Queen's wedding hats 👒. I would really appreciate it if you would share this video with all your friends 😊
@@ByIlonaMillinery no worries 👍🏆🧐 Love these hat's. The taste level is stellar in Phillip's creations. Don't know how much of recent Hat's were credit to him but seems likely.. thank you 👍💕🏆🌼🍃
Philip Somerville died in 2014, so the more recent hats were made & designed by Rachel Trevor Morgan (Royal warrant since 2014) or they were design by The Late Queen's dresser - Angela Kelly.
@@ByIlonaMillinery Thank you for all your information. So sorry to hear about Phillips passing. He was talented. But the recently worn hats are stellar & im so surprised that so little is know about such incredible talent. 🤔🏆👍💕
Hello! I am wearing my "bumper beret" model in black felt with black pom poms. You can order it here:www.byilona.co.uk/product/bumper_beret/ For international orders please get in touch via email.
I think the shape of the Queen's hats in 4:36, 5.21,6:26, 7:39, 8:22 are too exaggerated in their rather jauntily tipped height. The lovely textures & colours are overshadowed by the boldness of these shapes, in my opinion. The queen was tiny, so she needed csomethingvthat stood out so she was easy to spot on a crowd, but I think these models went that little bit over what was needed. I always thought they should have a big sign saying 10/6d!
they wore headdresses reminiscent to those worn by queen's handmaids in previous coronations, signifying their more important role in the monarchy whilst still following KCIII's desire for a more low key ceremony without tiara's
The hat with the daisies has a charm I can't explain.

Could you cover the Queen Mum and the incomparable Ms. Rose Corey?
Hello! It is on my list! I don't know much about Rose Corey, but I have met milliners who were her students. 👒
I wonder what happens to those hats after the late Queen's passing..
You are so adorable…

I wonder what she did with all the hats she has worn?
I'm sure a few were gifted, but most probably went to some sort of museum...or several museums.
Princess margaret has quite a few noteworthy hats
Why didn’t Princess Kate and Princess Sophie wear either a hat or crown to the coronation?

Your own hat is quite fetching.
