      Cons: it’s being gentrified!! Used to be a nice farming community and now it’s been destroyed.

    I grew up in Brantford in the 60,70,80,90 and when I married and moved to Toronto, I could hardly wait to get away from 'boonie Brantford'. Now that I have lived in Toronto for over 30 years, I can HONESTLY SAY that the longer that I live in Toronto - THE MORE I LOVE BRANTFORD. I miss the quietness and the slower pace of life in Brantford.

    Toronto is not 50mins away of Toronto. It’s an hour and a half or 2 hours with traffic!!!

      @@Godsgraceish I use to drive to Brampton from Brantford every weekend and it took about 50-1hr in the morning times. Which I admit now is in the GTA but oddly kinda farther than Toronto on the map. I dunno, maybe god didnt grace you enough with my speed on the roads and in the sack.

    Brantford is nothing like it was 10yrs ago. Housing is not cheap anymore, at least not for people who work in town. an crime is really bad along with the drug problem. Our little city is now a unsafe dirty place. I cant even walk alone at night anymore.

      @@canada_tales All areas have pros an cons I use to live 5 mins from down town an 10 years ago walk home from my job that was down town at night. not now, My husband will not allow me to go there at night with out him for safety reasons.

    Brantford is beautiful, it's probably the only city remaining that's relatively close to the gta without the rush of any of the tri cities.

      Rents are comparatively cheaper looking at surrounding cities and GTA. You could find 1 bedroom apartments for $1700 and 2 bedroom apartments for $2000

      Because of the mayor, davis is out for himself. There is no affordable housing plan for next two years but hey let's pay 60k for fixing clock tower.

      We don’t need affordable housing we need geared to income housing. There’s a big difference and conservatives love using “affordable” because it sounds nice and people have no idea what it really means (medium wage for the city NOT low income)
