      +Duncan W
      agadmater:
      Well met Duncan W - I am Sir agadmator. I beseech thee to help me with an important quest.
      As you are a commoner or Pawn of our realm you are perfectly positioned to help with a matter of state.
      Move to the castle and attempt to pin the Bishop. He is a bad Bishop and an evil man who often fornicates with Horses.
      After forking the Bishop you should then proceed to the Kings chambers. If you are lucky you may be able to catch a glimpse of the beautiful Queen. She is disgusted by her husband and has publicly called him a Stalemate. Do not dally for too long or you may become Isolated and have to make the ultimate Sacrifice.
      Locate the Kings table and pickup the Royal Fork. Use it to Attack his majesty and Skewer him permanently. This will allow you instant Promotion to ruler of the land of Chessterfield. Just keep an eye out for the Queens Indian as he can sneak into her bedroom some Knights.
      Once you have succeeded come Tal me all about it and I will Rank you amongst the bravest of all time.

    To answer everyone's question, loading the position at 9:52 into stockfish gives +5 for white, so the game is already over. Having said that, Qxc5 quickly changes that to +10 for white, a clear blunder. The best move is indeed Rxe7. There is no danger of the white queen forking the king and rook because Qf5+ is met with g6 and the rook defends Qf7+.

  • @Nullifidian
    @Nullifidian 3 года назад +3

    9:33 - After Re5, there was an immediately winning move with Bh3! because it protects the pawn with a tactic. Now if the rook captures, then Bf5+ Kh8 Qf8# wins. The best move appears to put the queen somewhere on the b1-h7 diagonal, but it still loses because, for example, Qd3 e8Q Rxe8 Bf5+ and the black queen has to be given up to stave off mate (because if Kh8 Qxe8#). The best square for the queen appears to be c2, because it at least permits black a _zwischenzug_ to win a pawn (e8Q Qxc5+ Kh1 Rxe8 Bf5+ Qxf5 Qxf5), but winning a pawn and being down a queen and knight vs. a rook isn't much consolation.
    It's worth pointing out that if black hadn't thrown in that check but had just played Re5 immediately that this tactic wouldn't work because the bishop would still be pinned by the queen.

      Just a tip: if you are really a begginer, don't spend more than 10 percent of your time studying openings. If you are not great at tactics and endgames, deep knowledge of opening theory is almost useless.

      +Sailen Katel Edson is right. Just get comfortable with a solid opening of your choice and play games. You'll first need to know the tactics and then you can study openings.

      Even doe these guys are very fine players, we all miss some ideas while pressured from the game and time...I think in this case it was one of those because that is indeed the best move, everything is protected .

    Beautifully played from being beginning to end by both sides. If I were to play against these guys I would most likely resign from playing chess for 3 days so I could heal my emotional wounds from the virtual being I will have had recieved.

    This was one of my more favorite games to see because they often times made moves that made sense to me and were moves I myself probably would have made. I'm not the strongest player exactly though and I see one of the players in this game is a kid, so it's possible this was somewhat of an amateur game of chess played but regardless I enjoyed watching a game that involved moves I myself would have commonly made.

    Mr. Hoodie Guy, cheer up, mate. Don't worry, you take many times for us in chess games and we appreciate your service. :) It could be worse if you were Buster from Mythbusters. Chess is much safer, and we thank you many times for helping us taking over unknown players' various portraits in many games Agadmator shows. * thumbs up *

    Hey agad, weren't you doing a series on endgames? Please do continue it, I remember you did one video ft Bobby Fischer but there was no follow up. It would be really helpful if you explained some commonly occurring endgame ideas
