Yeah, they need to add some text to the fire-around-the-avatar animation to make it clear that the Ultimate skill is ready to be used, as well as having the "automatic use of Ultimates" setting (depicted by the gears) enabled by default, with clear messaging of what it does either on hover or when the player's not using their Ultimates

Its pretty similar in terms of QoL to Souls. But that one is just auto battle you can't choose who to attack or when skills are used. Some of the later modes have roguelike choices in them but it's mostly who you get at what stars and how geared they are. Rarely, positioning makes a difference.
Not usually a fan of turn-based combat, but I have a bit of a soft spot for nice looking games. And yes, Sinbad does look good 😩😂

I was always intrigued about this game due to the huge amount of promo done, I think I even tried it for a bit but the characters weren't "waifu" enough for my tastes :P -- I can see how well polished it is, though; the name might be unassuming and frankly kinda limiting for what the game actually is. Might as well try it as I wait for major patches/releases of other gachas lol

I played this game because I was a former AFK arena player, which is technically the predecessor of AFk journey, I mean it's better in anyway comparing to AFK arena, but I stopped playing it cuz I got busy in life. Still, in my opinion a pretty good game. For the new and old players, consider giving this game a shot.

I just quit completely on August. The server almost dead, low player count and lack of content. I remembers that we tackled all the story in new season like within 3 weeks. The agony waiting for new content.

I've been playing the game since launch and it really has come so far. They really managed to iron out many of the gripes the community had with the game and gave us so many QOL features compared to when it released it's crazy lol.

Honestly I know this is paid, but I'm not paid, and I've been playing AFK for a few months now. It started as "haha this game is cute lets play for a bit to see" and now I'm fully invested. By the way the new season is awesome I like it much more than the first one. I haven't thrown any money yet but honestly as a f2p the game is very balanced even without the bonuses, I can still roll at least once a day, sometimes multiple times if I play the gems smart, which is more than most games. And coz the very core of the game is AFK, I can play in the background while I do work without having to babysit it all the time, and everything is fairly easy to understand. Highly recommend, I haven't been this invested in a game since Sky COTL.
And the OSTs??? The graphics?? I love them, as both a player and someone who studies music and design, perfection.
