Sitting here in New York City and enjoy listening to you wonderful version of John Downland's timeless music. Thank you so much for your great work, best wishes to the two of you from "the other side of the globe"
STOP! I’m singing “Flow, my tear(e)s” on the 21st of this month! (Along with the duets “Et misericordia” and “Sound the trumpet”). You play some of my favourite pieces ever, and now the very first I will start my next concert with! These coincidences are beginning to be alarming :D Jokes aside, I find the thoughts behind this new production really interesting. Pain and sorrow are universal, finding no barriers in space or time - the only thing defining them are the quality of being alive. However, I don’t think we’ve lost the art of melancholy: we have people like you, who keep us in touch with the most sensitive and vulnerable part of ourselves. The problem is, not many people like to see themselves under that light (because, you know, “light doth but shame disclose” :P). I’m happy to listen to Sanna again, and I LOVE her rich, “meaty” and dramatic voice, so expressive! You also have a vocal range very similar to my own, and I find it really cool ^^. And what can I say about Tuomas’ strings and presence that I haven’t said a million times already? I know this is a very important piece to you, which is very evident and breaks through the screen. A true delight, if a painful one - as it should. Thanks once again for your dedication. Your art is truly inspiring, as always. Hugs!
Hello, wonderful to hear about your concert! It would be nice to see it on RUclips. But maybe these are not mere coincidences - similar minds think along the same paths. This video has been germinating a long time, but eventually came together quickly. There are several more ideas waiting to be realized still - hopefully we will get something out without too long a delay ;)
@@OpheliaEnsemble And I'll certainly be looking forward to it ^^. In regards to the concert being on RUclips, I don't think that will be the case, unfortunately. It's a very amateur thing, and I wouldn't count on every one of the participants wanting to be on the Internet. :/
Thank you, dear Francesc, it's so nice to hear from you! And I'm so glad that the video aroused so many thoughts within you, and it's wonderful that the massive importance of this song for me and for us together was able to be visible through screen. 😍 Have a happy spring! 🌼
What an interesting idea for the video! Excellent performance as well!
Thank you! It was a risk worth taking, then!
Excellent set of videos with an modern urban switch!
Definitely a different and interesting take.
Thank you for saying that! It's always a gamble, trying something and now knowing whether it will translate.
Great performance (as usual) and visuals that totally capture the incongruity of loving this fancy old music in modern urban settings. Love it.
Thank you, we love your comment!
Beautifully done in every aspect
Thank you, dear David!
keep them coming !!!
Thank you for encouragement, it helps!
Beautiful. Bravo!
Thank you very much!
What a beauty!
Thank you!
I love this so much! What a beautiful video!
Thank you, your appreciation means a lot to us!
My tears are flowing as I watch and listen to two time travelers bring their talent to this post-modern backdrop of graffiti and smokestacks.
Thank you for watching and listening, and commenting! This is what much of Turku is, and we definitely feel like time travelers...
Always been a time traveler... 🫠
Absolutely beautiful!!
Thank you for your kindness!
