"why are they turning big into a lovable oaf"
he's always been a lovable oaf, he's a big friend who cares for others, that s his character, that s why he was created.
I love how recently, thanks to marketing and certain other sonic stuff, people are genuinely coming to love Big the Cat. After the burning hatred that used to envelop his very existence.
I'm just going to point out; based on the wreckage at the end, the only reason Shadow didn't run Big over is because Amy and the Chao blocked the road while trying to brake.
Big is too pure for this world I can't believe shadow almost ran him over , he just not give a damn he want to win this race!

- 1:44-1:50 was wayyyyy too clean. lol these in-house animation shorts are far more charming than anything has *any* right to be. Perfect for washing the out the aftertaste of Penders though :p

This proves that Big The Cat can likable. All it takes is no fishing gameplay and no talking. But when it comes to lovable oafs, I prefer Boom Knuckles.

You'd think they'd trick Amy with some Sonic merch. But I guess that joke would be too obvious.

No not archie characters, other non-canon or forgotten characters. Think Fang the sniper, bean, sticks, marine or Shade.
