Izuka shed tears of joy at how so many ppl loved Sonic. That one moment when where he isn't getting constant criticism but just love for what his actual vision for Sonic is. It's heart warming.

The people who un-ironically hate that sonic is in a car need to use their brains. The fastest thing alive running against people 10 times slower than him. Sounds like a great game.
Sonic rivals, rivals 2, olympic games and sonic r. But i do agree with you
but...EVERYONE can keep up with sonic.
@@akeemtaylor8375 Those games actually have a pretty dumb concept. How exactly does Sonic limit himself while at the same time push himself to give a fair challenge? Not to mention the Olympic Games featuring Sonic actually getting tired while sprinting. I'd argue it's far better to just cut the middle man out and simply have him using a car or other form of transportation.

the reason why he should drive:
1: he is 16 (not 15 now because of his birthday in generations.
2: it is good to rest his feet.
3: his shoes could wear out.
the game needs EVERYONE TO BE IN A CAR, it would not be fair for sonic. he would beat the race because his speed is unknown, but about 725 mph and sometimes higher.
he would beat the race if he was not in a car, it wouldn't be fair for everyone else to be in a car. if this game was like SA1, Then Amy Wouldn't keep up. not chao, not big, not gamma.
nobody ever complained of the hoverboards (Extreme Gear) because you had to use it. sometimes in riders, sonic was running with is hoverboard on the track, because he needed to find a PIT. and when i mean about shut up, i mean to all the people, who think sonic shouldn't drive in a car. In sonic generations, the fastest way was a dune buggy. this is why I like sonic in a car. even if it's speed said he was at 175 or 180 mph.

Best part of this panel. Glad to see the modern cast finally getting some love after all the Mania stuff.
Maybe when they announce the next main title, the animations for that game will have voice acting.

this is just like taking candy from a baby, which is fine by him.
Look at the wreckage afterwards. Shadow's car is the only one still pointing straight forwards. The only reason he didn't actually run Big over is because he was the last of the four and hit the others infront of him.

@@blitz4506 but then again, my dark chao sometimes greet Sonic despite the fact that I didn't use him to take care of my dark chao and the fact that other dark chaos hate Sonic while the one I mentioned before liked him.

This animation put the game on my radar
I think Sega had a rocky start with TSR marketing but are slowly redeeming the game. I no longer think it's just a discount ASRT with only slightly better graphics as an improvement, but a passion project on its own regard.
Well maybe because they've been working hard for the past few months

In most recent games it seems most of Sonics “cool” personality was replaced by 4th wall breaking cringy dialogue and whatnot, if they brought back the personality of what is shown here among the characters then we could get another Sonic 06 and I wouldn’t mind

No. not at all, Hyper Star. it would make the race unfair to other characters. is speed is unknown, but somewhere around 725, or sometimes higher. and when we saw the speed the car it could go to, it said, 180 mph.

this just makes me miss riders so much. 2 was meh, didnt play 3, but sonic rides is EASILY on of the best racing games of all time. take sonic out and it still would be. a total sleeper. the physics are crisp, mechanics are great, so on and so forth.

This was so good dude, but in my opinion, the animation just doesn't have good pacing in my eyes. Theres to many moments where theres really not that much happening, or just long pauses in general with Big. Then again theres only so much that can happen in a racing cartoon🤔

Sloth Overlord let’s keep that as a what if and not get our hopes up, remember that they didn’t have to do this animation but they did anyways as extra content and most people are thankfully happy about it, the animation was pretty sick and I’m glad they’re giving modern some love

I don’t get why the hell you would make sonic live action, instead of this animation style for a movie, and keep in mind the have been many failed live action movies with famous icons.

Move over paramount, hollywood game adaptations is getting old and make way for an old school original art form.
The panel was a huge disappointment
Why though? The next Sonic game isn't ready to be shown yet, they still can't make a trailer out of it, the movie is restricted to Paramount so Sega can't say a word about it.
Sonic Team is just one company, unlike "Nintendo" in general that has many smaller companies inside it that does different games at the same time, Sonic Team is just one focused entirely on Sonic. How could they do better than this?
Edit: seriously, have you ever seen Game Freak or even Santa Monica Studios announce yearly so many stuff? Think about that we aren't talking about Sega vs Nintendo, we are talking about Sonic Team and other smaller companies inside bigger companies.

Nah not really. It was great except for the trash cringy qna part. They have nothing to do with the movie so expecting something was your own fault. Team sonic racing trailers were awesome. The animated short was also awesome.
The only thing I was disappointed about was my decision to look at the live chat ;/
