The reason why Knuckles voice sounds different is because he has a new voice actor. Characters like Silver, Omega, Omochao, Blaze, Knuckles and Zavok. Travis Willingham and Laura Bailey are out of it because they had a baby last year. But who knows if it's going to be permanent or not though.
