Pack, In this video, Adbeel and Anadela dive into the top 5 crucial factors that affect the price of a tubular metal building: Metal Building's Width, Roof Style, Type of Metal Side Paneling, Doors, and Metal Building Weight.
They discuss these pricing factors using real case studies involving Texas tubular buildings.
The width of your tubular metal building is a fundamental factor that influences its cost. As the width increases, the complexity of the building's structural components also rises. A wider clear span requires additional reinforced trusses to maintain structural integrity, resulting in a noticeable price increase.
The roofing style you choose plays a significant role in both the aesthetics and the cost of your Texas metal building. There are three primary roof styles: Standard, A-Frame Horizontal, and A-Frame Vertical. Among these options, A-Frame Vertical stands out as the strongest and most expensive roof style.
At WolfSteel Buildings, opting for vertical panels can be an upgrade, providing increased rigidity due to strategically placed girts. These vertical girts prevent buckling during high winds and enhance the stability of your Texas metal building.
WolfSteel Buildings strongly recommends selecting doors wisely based on insulation needs and the purpose of your tubular building. Roll-Up Doors are suitable for non-insulated structures, while Overhead Sectional doors are ideal for insulated buildings.
Additionally, when planning a tubular metal building that exceeds 13 feet in height, taking the height factor into careful consideration is crucial.
WolfSteel Buildings emphasizes the importance of understanding these factors to empower you to make informed decisions when planning your metal building project

Great info! Thanks for posting. How do you keep water from seeping under a tubular building on concrete? Do you use rat edges?
Since we do our own concrete work, we do the rat edges (brick ledge) on the concrete and that eliminates the common water seepage issue in tubular buildings.
If you didn’t get the brick ledge on concrete, we recommend to have tubular builder install M-Seal along with polyurethane self leveling sealant under the base rail. It helps tremendously.
You guys also have a website that immediately shows models and frames and options.
And it's much more trustworthy to put your face on RUclips, because you open yourself up for criticism.
I'm sold.

I'm considering a 30'x50'x12' tall metal building with four 10x10 roll-up doors and two walk-in doors and six 30"x36" windows. I've gotten several quotes from three different companies. I might go with Alan's Factory Outlet that services my area (southeast North Carolina). I haven't given any monies nor signed any contract but will do more investigating before I pull the trigger. Enjoyed your video. Very informative. 👍🏽🤠 11/22/23

Looking to build a 30x40x12. Learned so much from this video. I'm in SoCal and wish i could hire your guys. Do you know anyone in this area who does good work?
Unfortunately we do not.. We have not worked in the area. Hopefully our videos give you some insight!
What would be the best option for a larger two story building. Let's say a 60' x 120' and 24 ' height. Huge garage/workshop on the 1st floor and possible living quarters/bonus area upstairs. Or am I at a whole new ballgame with a red iron insulated building?
Your best bet is a Red Iron Bolt Up building. You will need to have engineering plans with the building. Definitely doable!
Do you guys service the Augusta, GA. area? If not could you recommend a company that would, Thank you in advance
We do not service GA. We have not worked in that state and do not have much experience... Here is the companies I found in that area ranked based on google reviews.
- Augusta Sheds
- Magnolia Buildings
- Armour Metals
- Smith's Buildings LLC
Sorry we couldn't have been much assistance! Best of luck on your project
Great video, have you done radiant heat in any metal buildings? I am hoping one day to build a 60x 80 and was wondering if that would be an efficient way to heat it.
I haven’t done a radiant heat system for a metal building! It would be a great question to ask maybe in the Facebook groups for opinions!
I am no expert by any means! However, I'll share my experience with radiant heat in my home. It's great to walk across those floors in the fall and winter time. Unfortunately, though, it didn't negate having another heating system in my residence. Or the cost to protect this investment in case of a lengthy power outage. So, you might want to consider a backup power system. I considered going this route, but it was much cheaper to install a force air system. Along with the benefits of adding A/C. Which was a must for me! You gotta weigh the costs and know exactly what you want and need. Before you can tackle these projects and also be open to contingency plans. Good luck with your project!
@@paulpryor850 thanks for that insight!
How much would the price increase with 15'+ eaves on a 30'x40'?
Hey Mark! Prices vary by location. Please shoot us an email at sales@wolfsteelbuildings.com and share your zip code with us to ensure accuracy regarding the price increase!
Does the over 30’ width cost increase also apply to red iron buildings?
It wouldn’t! Red Irons are priced differently. Will soon do pricing factors for red iron!
