I know. But you can use similar steps in this tutorial for a digital or traditional piece. Like the color theory snippet. It was something I already knew about.
one thing that helps me out is using one outline color on the entire character. it forces me to make smarter decisions about what colors i use on the character, and makes the character feel easier on the eyes ig. at least to me. it could make your character look harsher or smth idk.
