Props are not useless. Even if you dont want to adjust props so they become a part of your oc, you can make gacha storys with probs, example: you can choose a cup, and then you can make a sceene where the character has breakfast and drinks coffee

You can use props and pets to make a pet be seen holding something 1.get any pet you want 2.if the pet is a tocan just put a prop you choose drag the prop the the toucans beak your finished If the pet is a animal who has its mouth in the front press back and then you can put the prop in its mouth btw this is free to use

Personally I like using objects too because a lot of them are the same as props, and when you change the pose for a lot of these hacks you have to have the energy to fix the prop/face accessory almost every single time which is just annoying 😭
