Hamburg. Fun Fact. I worked at what they call Camp Crystal Lake the summer they filmed the movie. 1979 Bass bought Cabela's. The quality has plummeted since.
I remember when cabelas was somthing special, when there were only a few in the country, going on road trips, if you passed a cabelas you made it a stop on your trip. Now there is atleast 1 in every state.
Great Place to visit loved the animals n aquarium i remember JP ur video 3yrs bk whoops im aged 64 n mid July n ur Fantastic find of a Pink rail carriage static beautiful location
Thanks for the video. I 💝 Cabelas! The clothes are quality the atmosphere is great. The aquarium is beautiful & therapeutic. Personally I would feel "lost" without the ability to visit and shop at a Cabelas. To see such a huge one is a pleasure. That beaver dam is surreal. The exhibits are simply magnificent.
Wow, that's a really nice Cabela's. My niece used to work at Bass Pro in IL. I took full advantage of her discount. LOL I like both stores equally though I order online because I don't have either one close to me.
I had never been In a Cabelas Store till we went to California when our Son graduated from the Navel Academy. We walked into the Mall from the Hotel. We were blown away. That was is one cool store.
Wow! Had no idea a Cabela's would be that much fun! Loved the aquarium. Grinning ear-to-ear watching the cute turtles swim around. The animal-filled mountain exhibit ranks up there with the best natural history museums. Decent deals on clothing, too. Happy you shared this with us, Thanks!!
Wow ...what a unique store ..really love the beautiful wildlife displays . I miss our " Gander Mountain " store (even tho it was no where near this awesome ..it was still a fun visit .) Love your new tee shirt . ..Enjoyed the revisit .Thanks for taking us along .💙👍
That sure is a huge store. It was a interesting video. We have this store by me but not as big. It does have some the same things. I enjoyed walking around it. Thank you for sharing...
Hi there Jp video and family ....from Laura in Des Moines Iowa USA ....here in Altoona Iowa we have a bass pro shop ....and it is fun to go to and see all kinds of wild animals....I like both of them...what a great video there Jp I love it thank you for taking us along with you
Cabela's is an amazing place! It's such a fun and interesting place to visit! I do remember your video of when you were there before. Hard to choose a favorite part, because the whole place is so neat, but I think it has to be the aquarium because seeing what's below the surface of the water is so fascinating to me. I think it is awesome how they make the animals look so realistic too. That was so fun to watch and you got some really cool stuff too, awesome t-shirt! I think that shark that attacked you wanted to come home with you too! 😂 Your photos are beautiful! This was so enjoyable, really great video JP! Thank you!
I can see why you missed coming here. Very unique and great, never in my life have I seen a great store like this The aquarium is great. I'll support this store online when possible they provide a good service with the aquarium and other perks especially for free. I admire that is this money oriented world.
it's been many years since I was at a Cabela's, brings back some good memories. I have to say my favorite part would have to be the whole store ...lol. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks for the video. I have visited this store several times. I haven’t been there since they were taken over by Bass. It looks like they are not taking care of this store as well as in the past. The aquarium and wildlife scenes really make the store unique. Too bad they closed the restaurant. They had a good variety of food and some unique food items as well. I assume this may have been a Bass corporate decision. The other factor may also have been how much more developed the shopping center has become around the store. There are a lot of national chain restaurants that were not there when this store opened. It still looks like a nice place to stop if you have the time and as you said they usually had good buys on some clothing items. I have not visited any Bass stores so I can’t compare how those stores compare to this one but this being the biggest would be hard to beat for both the atmosphere and merchandise selection.
Love that place. Wish I knew when you were going to be there. Would have stopped by and said hey. I was just at R&N Headquarters in Port Clinton, just up the road. We watched switching action, a few thru freights and best of all a quick tour of the Steam Shop. Great Video especially liked the turtles 🐢 & diver. Hope to get a Henry Lever Action there someday soon. Would love a Winchester 30-30 but not in my range.
I also haven’t been there in about 4 years. It isn’t the same place since Bass Pro bought them out. I don’t get the monthly fliers anymore which I used to look forward to and they don’t push their gun department like when Cabelas ran it. The quality of the clothing has gone down hill and the shoe department that used to be packed with customers is dead. I have a local hardware store that is much better for guns - Boyer’s Hardware in Slatington. The scenery is fine the first few times you are there but after that you go for the merchandise and it isn’t the same anymore. Their Black Friday sales used to be great. I went for a Ruger 10/22 at 1 in the morning and the line stretched around the parking lot. No more.
I feel like this is a reupload from a few weeks ago? Regardless, when that store opened it was a huge deal and now many years later that whole area has a bunch of stores!
I actually have more locations than I know what to do with. Every week I get emails from viewers with suggestions, but I'll never get to them all. I'm already booked with things into next year lol
I have a son who was stationed in North Carolina while in the USMC. I believe he went to the one there....could be wrong because he has basically been all over the world...anyway he called me and he was so excited like a kid in a candy store 😂. He is a pisces as well and he loves water....he was telling me about everything in the store lol. He has got to be in some wonderful beach areas. He was barbed by a sting ray while gov contracting in Diego Garcia in 2021. Had a bad ocean experience while stationed in USMC at Kaneohe Bay Hawaii too....Doesnt matter at all he has gotten hurt and still the fish loves his water and says momma you know I am a water baby 😂😂😂😂. ✌
I always enjoy visiting here. Tell me what your favorite part is of this place and watch until the end to see what I purchased.
Animals n d Wild
JP to me the Shooting Gallery was, the best. That was totally awesome.

Thankfully...I can get to one after moving. I thought I had lost the ability to visit & shop there. I'm grateful.
Been at that store many times. Yes - Bass Pro owns Cabela’s. They are starting to carry the exact same things now.

Gander was a nice store to pick up some supplies, but lacked in the eye appeal and ascetics.
That so beautiful the aquarium
That sure is a huge store. It was a interesting video. We have this store by me but not as big. It does have some the same things. I enjoyed walking around it. Thank you for sharing...
Thanks for checking it out with me
Excellent presentation, as usual JP! Keep up the good work.

It's a nice place for a family with young kids to spend part of the day, especially with the aquarium.
That is a cool place, might get there someday
Thanks for making it fun!!
You bet!
We have a Cabelas near where I live. Love that store! Has everything! Thank you for sharing yours! Great video. 🥰

You make a good point. The area is very developed and several food options now compared to when it opened. Still an enjoyable store to visit.
Amazing

I'll be doing a video of the Port Clinton shop closer to winter.
Pretty neat!
Kennywood!!! I’m going there this Wednesday
Yes,it is the largest at 250,000 Sq. Ft.
I'm in Michigan and our Cabelas is 220,000 sq.ft.
And yes Bass Pro Shops owns them.
Thanks for confirming and for watching

This store is so similar to the one in Triadelphia WV. They have a talking moose at the shooting gallery
Been going to this Cabela’s since I was a kid and had no idea it was the biggest one lol
I remember when u went there last time, i liked those bikes they looked cool in camo, its a cool store 😀
Camo bikes look cool, but not for that price tag haha

I feel like this is a reupload from a few weeks ago? Regardless, when that store opened it was a huge deal and now many years later that whole area has a bunch of stores!
First time back since 2020 and this is the first time this video has been released.

I remember when this store opened. Grew up not too far away. I can smell the nuts and hear the pop guns
👍
3 minutes from my house…dude I could show yo so much stuff for your channel that has to do with railroad history it’s unreal.
I actually have more locations than I know what to do with. Every week I get emails from viewers with suggestions, but I'll never get to them all. I'm already booked with things into next year lol
I’m interested, big RR, Mining & Canal history fan. PM me.
@@cruikshank is there a way to PM directly through RUclips?
Does the local populace call themselves Hamburgers? LMBO 😆
No but there is a Hamburger Festival in September that is hug. So look it up

Haha, it would take a lot to deter me from the water as well.
Whoops 😂
LL Bean
30rd ar magazines
You havent been here since that time during the beginning of the pandemic?
Nope
So some one killed all these animals for this purpose?
Dick Cabela hunted them for sport
To be honest I don't like that they killed these animals for display especially the elephant. The guy that killed it should be ashamed. My opinion
It got shut down because of Covid.
It didn't actually close. I was there when covid first hit and did a video. It was one of the few stores still open.
I stopped watching the video when you showed the trophy room. I am against the killing of wild animals especially endangered species.
