This is such a nostalgia trip. I grew up in Hamburg long ago. This was such a refreshing trip. Thank you for making me remember my cherished childhood.
the steady camera, distinct footsteps, and relative inactivity of the town all adds up to this video feeling very much like I'm watching someone play a walking simulator video game - which I enjoy!
The title sent me on an emotional rollercoaster! Just read Hamburg (im german) and got excited, then surprised at the Pennsylvania. But then again excited to see its a night walk. Gonna love this!
57:13, wow you really discovered something nice there! I'm sure the home owner would have been tickled pink if she knew her creation was making it on youtube! That really was nice!

I have lived in both Hamburgs. The one in PA has a Cabela’s and nearby is Hawk Mountain. One in Germany has St Pauli fc, an opera-house that marries the words over and budget, Chinese owned shipping port, miniture museum, and those jokes aside is an awesome city.
I have loved the latest videos of various walks and drives. They are so soothing and have helped me find calm lately. Thanks so much-been following you since I heard you on Preston and Steve circa 2013 🤘🏼
Hawk Mountain was one of my favorite hiking locations back when I lived in Pennsylvania. I'm originally from Bloomsburg PA but spent most of my childhood living in Wilkes Barre.
Uncle E, I’m glad to see you making the content you want to produce. I know these videos typically get less views but I’m glad you’re enjoying being a creative
I reside on the moon currently alongside my friend Steve Rogers. He just rocks back and forth in his chair on his porch and I like to just stare into space
I love night walks. Did them with family and friends during the summer during my growing up years. Walking at night has a totally different vibe...very peaceful and calm.
I haven’t watched one of your videos in a little so I figured I’d see what’s up, never did I except to see an asmr video of my town. Loved the video btw
So crazy to see that Rift walked the same streets I have so many times. It's like Santa came to town, I'm elated to see my local hometown area in an ER video! Edit: genuinely tweaking that Rift was within walking distance at the time of filming, I cannot believe such an icon was so nearby. It's dreamlike seeing all of these places I've been to in a youtube video, let alone on Uncle E's channel.
Well I've always been creating content that I enjoy ever since I started this channel, talks, roleplays, indoors, outdoors, etc. Have a good one yourself.
I listen to your asmr all the time uncle e! I think you’re a really smart guy and I really look up to you :) your videos on anarchism and such are particularly thought provoking and a great listen! Keep up the great content!
Oh I miss this, thanks! I used walk all over the place at night where I grew up in the country, but now I live in a big metro area in a dumpy part of town and won't leave after dark!
Turned out alright, I thought maybe it would be too loud for a asmr video but it's great. Thank you for making this, now there's only the train video left. Stay safe 🖤🔦
Honestly if you are still in the area as of posting this you should really hit up Hawk Mountain, its beautiful and there is alot of good history to go into- like all the forest there has been regrown/was logged, the river of rocks, the History of the Hawks, and also the Civil Air Patrol school. Also while we are on rocks you should hit Ringing Rocks at some point. You could do it with a mix of Nockamixon which is close by and is a man made lake made by flooding a town(there are a few towns that happened to back in the day) and its near a set of Masonic Pyramids. Also in Palmerton there is a beautiful house that can be seen from 248 its considered haunted because nothing grows outside it(the ground is all red) its called the Marshall Mansion. I also dont know how you would manage it- but walking through a deserted Knoebels would be pretty cool as well. Mount Moriah cemetery is a really beautiful. And if you look into it there are tons of abandoned mining towns like over 100 in PA that you can still find ruins of and some of them have really wild stories. There is also stuff like the story of the Green Man you could dive into- though that story is more sad then haunting. Edit to add its also painful- its not the Skul-keel, its the Sure-keel to those of us who know the river and the road😂😂😂.
@@EphemeralRift many wonderful places but many more are now sadly gone like the Graffiti Highway in Centralia(I don't know if its still standing but they use to have a beautifuly designed church). Or alot of the old hospitals- The Allentown State Hospital one had been in really good condition still before they tore it down the state police sere working out of it- enough to also film a pretty major movie just before they did demo. The places may have had a dark history but that building and campus were stunning. Even iconic places like Bethlehem Steel are basically being left to rot and they really don't seem to be preserving it I always find it a shame when such architecture is torn down. At least for now I know a few places like the Marshall Mansion that are being well kept- due to the the stories behind them. I think they are still renting it out for parties occasionally but to my knowledge its still owned by the bank and not a person as many people have claimed hauntings. Sad because its really a beautiful house/property to leave vacant. Definitely a place to put a fence up if you live there- one stumble off that cliff and you done 🤣🤣🤣.
@@samuelculper4231 Pennsylvania has alot of great Forest trails for sure, But Hawk Mountain is definitely in the top ones for me. Part of what makes it so good is how tight a rein they keep on the area.

you get those vibes especially in small towns in the midwest! lots of former houses that are now just piles of rubble sitting in the middle of otherwise populated neighborhoods, businesses that are always open but never attended, overgrown yards full of junk that's eternally for sale. that might sound a bit depressing, and it's certainly a view of how rural poor people are forgotten by the rest of America..... and yet, there's still a charm to it. post-apocalyptic comfort :)
