That last guy was amazing. Shows just how manipulated humans can be. I mean he was really questioning his reality there. Now that was an psychological experiment for sure.
Even some of these were staged back then. The guy even felt the statue and then acts totally stupid as to where the kick in his butt came from. People werent stupid just because it was back in the 50's and 60's
I'm not going to delete your comment, but you're way out of line. I did that sequence. I can absolutely assure you that nothing was staged - not "back then" or ever. My father and I would never do that, and I don't understand why you would say such reckless things without any knowledge or evidence whatsoever. -Peter
@@peterfunt8622 I dont care if you do delete my comment! It ridiculous of you to claim I have no knowledge or evidence whatsoever but the fact is the common sense that people werent stupid even back then and they would OBVIOUSLY KNOW the statue is fake after they had initially touched it and also when a kick in the butt CANT came from NOTHING ELSE IN THE WHOLE ROOM.
This was filmed at a time when a lot of people had only recently got their first TV, and had grown up just listening to Radio etc. Folks were less cynical then, and the world was arguably a better place for it.
I remember watching this with my grandparents 😂.
RIP Granny 🙏🏼1919-2021
Wow! Peter as a teenager! He is a natural at this!
Oh this was just awesome...lol 😂 A 16 year old Peter Funt..well done Peter. 👏 😊
Peter's updated version is good, but I prefer these older originals. This one is especially good because it brings them full circle. 😂
As far as ideas, I agree, but Peter Funt was hilarious in his segments.
When I am just a kid...before I do my homework... I watched candid camera first.
Me, too! -Peter
The guy in flannel was hilarious. I'd hire him in a second, for anything.
Priceless in any time!! 😅
A classic setup! Great.
That was a good one 🥰👍
Great days of tv.
That was definitely an O.S. moment for that gentleman working on the carpet. He should have let them take him home 😉
Back when people were trusting to the point of gullibility because no one was trying to scam them every 5 minutes.

Cant believe you 'fell for' this nonsense!!!!
@@largemember What? Are you saying this show was all fake? Prove it
@@robodd4694 The show is usually legit, but this was just an amateurish skit, and if you think otherwise, P.T. Barnum would love you.
I don’t think he was manipulated. He was trying to help out since Peter said he was tired and needed a break.
Peter, how did you stay so still?!😅
Ha. Probably fright. This was one of the first, and certainly the biggest, sequence I had ever been in. I was lucky, for sure. -Peter
@@peterfunt8622 I wonder where the guy in the flannel is today? I hope he is doing well.
Back when TV was good, now it's full of trash.
he went along with it :D hahaha
Now we know where the idea came from, for the movie: Night Museum.
Wow 😮
That guy was Compliant !!
Were people really that obedient to strangers back then ?🤯
No.
I already got a home.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's scary how the guy was so passively manipulated. 😮
Clearly a real person, not a statue. This folk are dim.

Think I know his political leanings
5:04 Entertaining yet so fake....there is no way on GOD'S green Earth anyone would fall for this....absolutely NO WAY!!!!!
