@dobbyrepairs I am really enjoying it so far, i have the 1.6 diesel in mine. Is there any issues i should look out for with it? and i have heard the bonnet releases failing is quite common. Should i replace it with a new one before it goes ?
That's good to hear the main issues to look out for are fuel injectors leaking have a look around them it should be clean and dry around them if you see any black tar them the seals probably need replacing and rust is another big thing to keep an eye on especially on the subframes . replacing the bonnet release won't hurt it'll save you a lot of hassle of getting into engine bay should it fail and the parts a fairly cheap to do it prevention is better than cure after all
@dobbyrepairs thank you for the advice. My injectors seem good all nice and clean, as for rust, it has a bit of surface rust, which I'll sort out before it gets worse. I've also ordered a new bonnet release from eBay so I can get that done next weekend 👍
