Hi I didn't do a bsi reset in my experience it's never been needed after changing the battery on this car

It will definitely do that and it also stops the sump plug falling in the drain pan

Thanks for your question . The cutting into the metal allows you to re-face the seat of a diesel injector so that it can be fitted correctly, especially when replacing or reconditioning the injector. This helps to ensure that the injector bore area is clean and faced to the correct dimensions, which can help to avoid poor emissions and blow back hope this answers your question

It's a good little pump especially if your planning to change the fuel filter on your C max . As for covering more Halfords tools it's definitely a possibility they have plenty of tools available and I have my eyes on a few bits to get and test out

Thank you and as I'm 99% sure is the same process to replace it .just have to check the filter is the same as there are two different ones listed for this car

Hi mine doesn't do that yours could possibly be faulty

I'm not sure about the time it might take to settle, but it might not go to zero anyway as you're reading the resistance of the leads...

@@mozzergaming4826 having just double check ed my one it takes about 5 seconds to settle down to a solid reading . Your right about the lead resistance mine won't zero in the 200 ohms range now if touched together thank you for input 😀

@dobbyrepairs I am really enjoying it so far, i have the 1.6 diesel in mine. Is there any issues i should look out for with it? and i have heard the bonnet releases failing is quite common. Should i replace it with a new one before it goes ?

That's good to hear the main issues to look out for are fuel injectors leaking have a look around them it should be clean and dry around them if you see any black tar them the seals probably need replacing and rust is another big thing to keep an eye on especially on the subframes . replacing the bonnet release won't hurt it'll save you a lot of hassle of getting into engine bay should it fail and the parts a fairly cheap to do it prevention is better than cure after all

@dobbyrepairs thank you for the advice. My injectors seem good all nice and clean, as for rust, it has a bit of surface rust, which I'll sort out before it gets worse. I've also ordered a new bonnet release from eBay so I can get that done next weekend 👍

@joyciejpj it is a very hard bolt to get to and unfortunately there wasn't the space to film but I used the open end of the spanner and had the back of the spanner pointing slightly towards the engine to get it loose it luckily it only needs to come out a few turns then u can move the alternator. I have been told it is easier to get to from the underneath but I haven't done another yet to try it

If I had taped the window first I wouldn't have been able to remove the two screws holding the window to the regulator as access to them is impossible if the window is up . I hope that explains the reason better than I did in the video . Thanks for watching 👍

It was on there pretty hard I tried wiggling it and it wouldn't come off but you can wiggle some off but in this case the puller was the quickest and safest option to get it off without damaging anything

Yes they can take a bit of force to get off once the screws are out I think it depends on how long the light unit has been on the car for . Thanks for watching

I didn't put any extra grease on mine as the replacement linkage came pre-greased but if you want to add extra or yours isn't greased all ready then you can use multi-purpose grease

@@dobbyrepairs Yes its a Auto A mechanic said to me, They were common for the linkage bushes to fall mine only drives in reverse Thanks Damian

It is a possibility that the gearbox has gone is the sector loose feeling when u put in drive ?

Yeah it's a right pig to do the one in the video was the 4th one I've changed and I still struggled ill leave it as long as possible between changes

Hi not sure what colour the positive wire is sorry about that . If you have a multimeter on hand set it to 20 volts DC and check the wires at the connector it should have 2 pins inside start the engine and probe them see which one has a voltage on it just make sure the black probe on the meter has a good ground check injector you know is working first then check the bad one and ill do some more digging the see if I can get the info for you

Having done some more digging the positive is a orange wire on the left hand side of the connector as you look at it

You can also get them from autodoc as well

If it sounds like it's working, then no, but give give it a test once you're in there by taking it off and then using the button to see if it moves in both directions
