Space Station 13 is a game that you're not going to understand unless you play. It's not a game you can learn by watching or reading, and it is a game you certainly won't master in your first day, week or month. Space station 13 is one of the most insane experiences of my life, a game that has occupied my time for over a decade now. Space station 13 is the roguelike of roguelikes for me, the most wonderful piece of human created madness, and certainly on equal footing with dwarf fortress in terms of sheer complexity.
However, byond is old as an engine, is limited in its own ways, and largely prevented a number of people from joining in. And thus, there was Space Station 14 - which is free and on steam! This open source monster replicates the madness and is the early version of what promises to be many decades of stupid just like its sire.
Join me in Space Station 14 friends. Be farty spacemen.

Spent the last four hours in a couple matches as a janitor, I now know that the janitor cart can hold several wet floor signs, and this made me very happy.

Protip: Lasers in SS14, as of now, don't work with power cells. You need to stuff them into a special "charger" machine in order to reload them, unlike regular power cells. Very similar machine to a cell recharger, and can be easily made with an autolathe, but charges lasers instead of cells.
What the fuck is this laser-tag bullshit. Do they just blind you for a few seconds. Or do they just make a pewpew sound to scare some jobby shitter to work OR ELSE. Instead of you know burning flesh with heat on par with the surface of the sun, turning people into literal meat swiss cheese.

I was under the impression that you needed a separate charger for the energy weapons, but I haven't used one in SS14 yet
You do need a separate charger for lasers, it's just BPL being new and not knowing well how stuff works in 14. Poor engineers evidently didn't know either and thought they were stupid.
He clearly thinks that in 14 lasers are power cell-based like in certain 13 servers. However, currently, they are not, you do need a separate charger and stuff the whole laser weapon in it.

I don't know about Floor Meat(tm), but if you've ever played Warframe, Wall Meat is a thing.
My favorite part of the video is how this is a whitelisted server, so this video is not a very decent representation of what your own experience will be like.
